My messy patchwork box - it got dropped a couple of times and putting the hexies back in the right order wasn't a priority!
Die Grundidee für diesen Quilt stammt aus der Zeitschrift Burda, Frühling 2012. Ich habe sie leicht abgewandelt und mit einem Stoffrest aus meinen Vorräten umgesetzt.
Made of various colours of Schachenmayr Catania, inspired by Granny's No Square from The Happy Hookers

I think I got carried away with the photo taking of this quilt but it was the first sunny day in ages and I had been waiting patiently to get some shots of it outside.

a friend of mine requested a small patchwork zipper pouch in green fabrics awhile back, and i finally got around to making something for her. hopefully she'll like it! each of the patchwork pieces is approximately 1 inch square (they were 1.5" square b/f sewing). i didn't have any green velvet and i wanted the handle and the pouch to have a soft lining. i decided to use something to contrast with the greens - a royal blue velvet - and quilted everything in blue thread to match the velvet. i used this great tutorial by Elizabeth Fransson to piece together the patchwork sides and the handle:

An on-line freebie from December '06, this is stitched as charted aside from a color change for the darkest red (only made because I never seem to be able to find the DMC 347 that I know full well I have several of in my stash!) Stitched on generic 28-ct. white evenweave. Completed 9/5/2009.

PROGRAMA I FOTOS PATCHWORK SITGES 2022
Acabo de montar el bordado en unos listones de diferentes telas y no he podido resistir hacerle foto, porque me encanta como ha quedado. Le he puesto ya la entretela, de esas que se pega con la plancha.
This quilt is my own design, made of three colors of linen and prints I bought in Amsterdam several years ago. I also used some Kona solids to coordinate with the colors in the prints.
