The Commander of the 2nd Canadian Division (2nd Div CA), Brigadier-General Jean-Marc Lanthier presents the new badge to the representatives of the Command Team of the 2 Div CA ceremony presenting the new divisional patch held at the Montreal Garrison Friday, May 16, 2014.
The symbolic handover of the blue patch results from the Canadian Government decision in 2013 to restore the historical aspects of the Canadian Army, and the reintroduction of the Divisional nomenclature and division badges. The restoration of the historical identity of the Canadian Army strengthens the link between today's military and generations of fighters who came before them.

Wisconsin Central's mobile motive power museum was always a fun time. From this view at North Fond du Lac, WI in Feb of 1990 we have patched SDL39 582 and trailing is GP30 700. The red and white ex-Soo Line loco is now at the museum in Duluth, but the SDL39 was shipped to South America.
Patch Budder in small thick paper box. Box is brown and has experienced some water damage to the top. One small face of the box has the following text, reading "Jones' Patch Budder / Pat'd Feb. 6th 1912 / J. F. Jones Lancaster, Pa." Inside is the patch budder, which is made of metal and contains a curved handle and four blades that are positioned to form a rectangle when looking at them from above. Inside is also a folded paper titled, "Budding Nut Trees," which details the Patch Method to "propagating nut trees" according to Jones. The paper is yellowed and delicate, has some ripes along the edges. Box is 3" x 1 5/8" x 1 1/4".

This simple yet elegant artwork symbolises the components and goals of the Orion programme within NASA’s Deep Space Exploration Systems network that ESA is proud to be a part of.
Immediately visible is NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) rocket that will give Orion its boost into space. Surrounding the rocket are flames and fumes that highlight SLS’s incredible firepower.
Though not clearly visible, Orion is perched on top of the rocket. The silver highlight that outlines the patch alludes to the silver-toned spacecraft. The ESA-developed European Service Module, also not visible, is an integral part of the Orion spacecraft, providing it with power, propulsion, and a safe and cozy environment for the crew, and is Europe’s contribution to this international endeavour to return to the Moon.
Speaking of Luna, Orion’s destination is in the foreground. The red and blue trajectories around it represent not only it’s intended course but also the full-circle effort that has gone into developing this return to the Moon, spear-headed by our NASA colleagues and strengthened by our international partnership.
The triangular shape of the emblem is a classic NASA shape that dates back to the shuttle era.

Note: This camera is my ride or die. Fell in love when I first used it. Tried so many different ones but still kept coming back to this camera. I wouldn’t say I mastered it yet, but I still try my best to produce great quality images with it. Also, first time pushing film and it surprised me. I love my photos popping and shouting colors. That’s just my style. And Ektar did a really great job at it. Great when used on a bright sunny day. Haven’t tried using it on an overcast day, but that’s interesting. Happy shooting ✨
I found these weed flowers blooming along one of the levees near Alviso yesterday. As I only had brought my 24mm STM pancake, I did a panorama with the east bay hills in the background. The coverage area was huge and MSFT ICE software gave up on my laptop as there were too many huge files to handle. So today I brought my ultra wide angle instead. But the low hanging clouds were all gone. With the bright sun above my head, I decided to compose my shot toward this direction showing the extent of the levee leading into the bay instead.
