This image was shot on location near Frome in Somerset with the aim of combining nature with abstract/ creative photography.
For sometime I had an idea to photograph a patch of reeds at a nearby nature reserve and a long enough exposure to create an abstract view of the subject.
Then two ducks (at least I presume) flew by, forgetting to adjust my settings I continued to photograph them passing by - depicting more abstract images. I have to be honest that I'm not sure what species of duck or even if they are ducks so if anyone knows (I know their not exactly sharp) I would be grateful if you could let me know.

Went to try and record a few Perseids. Instead I managed to capture a passing satellite in the southern sky.
Friday, 10 January 2025 saw the latest batch of new Greater Manchester Police officers celebrated the end of their basic training with a passing out parade at the force’s Sedgley Park training centre.
They were welcomed to the force by Assistant Chief Constable Matt Boyle, who also inspected the parade.
Friends and family were on hand to enjoy the occasion.
Dr Eamonn O'Neal OBE DL, the High Sheriff of Greater Manchester, was guest of honour and wished them all well in the upcoming careers.
The officers will now go to their respective postings and continue their development.

I ran out today because the clouds were doing great things. I took loads of shots here, mostly because I was bracketing by 2/3 a stop. This one is 2/3 underexposed, so it wasn't quie that dark. It was taken about 45 minutes before sunset.
London is full of these kinds of buildings that have been looking at people passing them for hundreds of years. And they will still be looking a people passing when both you and I are long gone.
