On Route H22 on its way to Manor Circus, Richmond. Noted passing Hounslow Bus Station/Garage

I'm passing by (almost everyday) these ashtrays at The Kennedy Busstation, and (for some reason) I've wanted to take a picture of them (don't ask me why), when they are filled to the max with litter and trash.

So this morning - at 5:30 AM - I set out to take the picture (it's more easier at that time, 'cos there aren't many people there), and you know what ?;... there was practically nothing in them... :-)

This is 8(eight) exposures - combined to a vertorama. Shot with a 50mm f/1.8 at f/1.8

Daniel, our guide, had led us to believe that trains are few and far between. Santa Clara is on the main line that runs the length of the island.

Taken a while back on a trip through Mid Wales, this and many others that day were test images for the new Sigma17-70 f/2.8 DC Macro which i had just purchased. I'm still getting used to it but I'm really happy with the quality and clarity of the images it produces.

On Wednesday, October 5, 2005, BNSF Railway (BNSF) 7740, 4727,995 and 5088 led a southbound intermodal train passing another intermodal train at Bealville, CA.

BNSF 7740 is a GE ES44DC. Reportedly it was built in 2005, serial number 55800.

Conrail ME-2 heads for the National Can lead, passing Lincoln Tower on the Northeast Corridor. Apparently the 12 switch required some attention and an Amtrak C&S crew was on the scene. ME-2 had entered the NEC a short time earlier via the switch that is visible just behind the workmen. Caboose 22137 is a fixture on this train, as it is used to protect reverse moves.

Snapping bit of urban art found in a narrow parking lot: Dallas, Texas.

I don't remember this sign being here the last time I was in Porter, Indiana. In addition to being the gateway to the Indiana Dunes, Porter also is a good place to see rains. Amtrak's westbound Wolverine Service No. 353 crosses Wagner Road.

In this image, the falling darkness helped to enhance the image. There was just enough light to show clearly the surroundings and just enough darkness to create some interesting effects with the headlight of the approaching train as the light reflected on the sides of the last pair of trailers on an eastbound intermodal train.

A parcel is the collective noun for Oystercatchers, so this is a parcel passing. These striking black and white wading birds are also one of most inappropriately named British birds. Oysters are something they never eat, although they are partial to Cockles, Mussels, Lugworms and Earthworths. The scientific name is equally inappropriate as Haematopus means blood-footed, yet they have pink legs and feet, and ostralegus means oyster-eating.

This skittish group were feeding on mussels at Stag Rocks near Bamburgh in Northumberland. They were much less approachable than the Purple Sandpipers they were loosely associating with.

Flea Market Sundays Series.

For this to be one of my personal favorite shots in this series and imperfect as it is...well, that has to mean something right?

Children of the vendors are often bored and seek out adventures all their own during the day -- I can attest to as much. What caught my eye here was that you just don't see kids playing like this much anymore, that is, without a phone or video game controller in hand.

I have one other frame with this boy playing with his brother, each on their side of the fence, but really liked the energy here, of the boy climbing because his little brother dared him to.

If anyone ever asks, why I posted this or why I like it? My answer: because it's Old School.
