MUA : Georgi B, Belissima Brides
Hair Stylist: Matt Carr, Artizan, Bath
Venue : Cleeve House
More from the photoshoot that I've spent the last few months arranging with Instant Vintage Clothes, Artizan Hair and Georgi who did a brilliant job (as always) as Model & MUA.
The venue was the wonderful Cleeve House, an Edwardian House that perfectly suited the clothes & styling.
Another of my favourites from this set, I just love the whole set-up with the chair & props and the dappled light on Georgi.

Capturing the 2006 Cherry Blossom Season during my Friday Photo Walk when passing through Pershing Park, in NW WDC, I'd happen this man 'catching the rays'. When inquiring if I may photograph him I'd mention that one of my ongoing street photography themes was 'people with cellphones'. He said yes. When I asked where he was from he said 'London'. It was not until I would upload this series of images to flickr that I'd realize that it was a ipod, as opposed to a cellphone. And as a result, but, similar to my cellphone series at www.flickr.com/photos/perspective/tags/cellphone/ I will now embark on an ipod series at www.flickr.com/photos/perspective/tags/ipod/. Pershing Park . 15th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, NW . WDC . Friday afternoon, 31 March 2006
2006 Cherry Blossom Season - Laid Back series
Elvert Xavier Barnes Photography
The road to Applecross is something that has to be seen to be believed, if you've ever driven through the highlands or islands of Scotland you will already be used to driving on the little single track roads that link up the small villages dotted throughout the vast countryside, but getting to Applecross is something that little bit special, as are the views when you're at the top of the hill and about to start heading back down the other side.
As soon as you arrive at the road which will take you up and over the range of hills to Applecross you're greeted with a sign saying it's not a road for inexperienced drivers, and it's no understatement. At some stages of the single track road you find yourself looking over the edge of a vast cliff face knowing that one wrong move and you could be hurtling down the hill sideways instead of staying glued to the road.
It gets even more interesting when you have to deal with traffic coming the other direction, yes there are passing places but when we're in the big V8 Monaro and there's a 4x4 jeep coming the other way then the passing places are being pushed to the limit with both parties holding their breath during the seconds the cars pass by one another, then a quick sigh and we're on our way again.
We shot a video from the camera mount in the Monaro of us coming back down the hill, once I finish working through the rest of the pics from the trip I'll sort out the video too just to show how awesome this place is.

A pair of Norfolk Southern locomotives are nose by nose at East Conway, which is the interlocking plant at the entrance to the company's Conway Yard near Pittsburgh. The train on the left is an eastbound stack train. The train on the right is a manifest freight making a backup move into the yard. The flat car between them is on the rear of an other manifest freight waiting for traffic to clear before making a backup move into the yard.
