The new landmark bridge of Dubai crossing the Deira creek and the starting point of Deira Enrichment project, the expansion of Deira towards the waterfront.
The next landmark of Dubai is growing up beside Jumeirah Lakes. DUT Phase 1 is one part of the next DMCC project.
Learning about three point lighting, skin shaders, parametric shadows and bump maps.

Center third created in Dream by Wombo Ai.
All other processing was done in Photoshop Beta 2023 v 25.1.
This is 16 layers in total. A tiny bit of hand painting.
Tiny leaves were created in PS using Parametric filter "pattern".

"The expansion of Chadstone Shopping Centre in Melbourne, Australia, is a seamless celebration of engineering and architecture. The project’s centerpiece is a dramatic gridshell glass roof, which soars above what has become the largest and most popular enclosed shopping centre in the Southern Hemisphere. The expansion accommodates upwards of 100 new retailers and a roster of leisure and food operators. The 31-meter high, 7,000-square meter roof was a multi-disciplinary collaboration of designers, architects and engineers working with research departments from the University of Stuttgart and the University of Bath. The design team relied on 3D parametric modelling, refining the massing through a combination of video animation and computer rendering. The roof is the first of its kind on the continent"

I shot this picture in the Pacific Rim National Park, on Vancouver Island. It was the morning, and there was a thick morning haze. The sun was reflecting on it, as well as on the wet sand of the beach. I took the picture shooting right in the sun, while the surfer was walking to the sea.
In terms of post-processing, I used darktable, and I worked mostly on the colors, and the contrast. I first used a tone curve to restore a bit the whites, which had been a bit underexposed, while keeping the trees at the same value level. I then used the equalizer filter in bloom mode to reduce contrast on the sand. I added an extra tone curve to make the haze in the horizon more white, and I used another one to have a slight gradient of shadow on the bottom left. With regards to the colors, I used color correction to make the sky a bit yellow (it was gray in the original picture). I increased the saturation in the sand, and I used two different color correction on the sand, selecting for yellow or blue regions (using a parametric mask) and making these slightly more yellow or more blue.
Mama!! Look!! See what that machine did to the chair?
I see, Lacy, but do you realize that it's got you too?
Really? I don't feel any different..
That's good cause I wouldn't want you to get hurt in any way!!
Happy Teddy Bear Tuesday, Everybody!!!

Experimental image edited in Darktable with two separate exposure adjustments for sky and land. I used the "Parametric Mask" to select the two exposures. Also used the following tools
Levels, Remove Haze and a small amount of Clarity

Couldn't resist nipping outside between the gaps in the rain to capture this feeding crimson rosella.
This is actually a pSooC (Practically Straight out of Camera), with just some mild manipulation of LR tools, namely Crop, Tone, Presence, Sharpening and Parametric Tone Curve.
Zero brush, radial or gradual filters. Zero D&Bing, zero WB changes. Colours were provided from the Pentax K3III SATOBI Custom Image profile with my own slight tweaks applied at time of shooting.
Excerpt from thewelltoronto.com/arts/site-reclaimed-wood-furniture-col...:
Site-Reclaimed Wood Furniture Collection
December 2022
Working in collaboration with Hariri Pontarini Architects, along with Allied and RioCan, Brothers Dressler was asked to reclaim the beams removed from the development site to create over 30 individual pieces of furniture for The Well office tower lobby, including a pair of undulating sculptured benches. The Douglas fir beams, from trees hundreds of years old, were given a second life as they transformed over 18 tonnes of them through their Toronto studio.
Working within the scope of Hariri Pontarini Architects’ initial design concepts, Brothers Dressler designed and produced the following pieces with this reclaimed wood:
The Whale and the Serpent
The undulating repetitive rib sections fastened to the internal spines of these parametric sculptured benches, designed to use the Douglas fir pieces, allude to the shared rib-like structure of invertebrates. Stretching 8.5m and 6m long the benches conjure an extinct creature that once roamed the planet only to become a museum piece.

Daffodils by Rudyard Lake, Staffordhire.
Colour retained within an elliptical region, dropping off with radial distance outside of the ellipse.
Achieved with a "dodge and burn" app I wrote myself in C#. Not that easy, as it requires an unconventional parametric representation of an angled ellipse.

A gyroid is an infinitely connected triply periodic minimal surface discovered by Richard Schoen in 1970.
In 1986 Osserman proved that it contains no straight lines, in 1996 Große-Brauckmann and Wohlgemuth proved that it is embedded, in 1997 Große-Brauckmann proved that it has no reflectional symmetries.

The new gardens around the Parametrically Designed DUO-tower on the very fringe of Groningen's inner city are well worth a visit. In fact, the gardens were landscaped to form a kind of unity with the amazing skyscraper at which foot they graciously undulate. There's an abundance of flowers and even a small wetlands; of course, countless insects.
Here's a Beaked Hoverfly, Rhingia campestris. Its nose or beak is used as protectrion for an immense tongue that can delve deeply into a Purple Vervain flower.
