After doing Tutorials on youtube I figured out how to parametrically draw in solid works.Initially I found that the bounds would not let me complete the loop, meaning I could only do half loops at a time.
Parametric curve for arrows indicating actions in the game. The bottom three curves look like straight lines but the white are great circles over the surface of the world at the height of either tile, the red interpolates between the two. The top arc is the bottom red arc plus a parabolic trajectory.
I wanted to find a parametric representation of the top curve with respect to arc length so that the vertices of the arrow would be evenly spaced but it turns out even the most trivial equations are a bitch to normalize (viz. elliptic integrals). But on the plus side the binormal is constant across the curve so the normal can be found with a cross product instead taking the second derivative of the curve. The tangent, normal, and binormal are used to create an orthogonal basis for each edge loop across the arrow (eg. so it has an even thickness no matter how much it bends).

Here is a video demonstration of this parametric roof model.
This parametric roof was the major part of my undergraduate thesis and it only requires 30 minutes to model in CATIA. However, the complete steps to constructing this model took 4 months of research.
The Astroidal ellipsoid is a three-dimensional surface which is the inverse of the ellipsoid in the sense that it "goes in" where the ellipsoid "goes out."
The object is visualized in Mathematica using atlas 2 for Mathematica.
