Last month I uploaded a photo of a puffin at South Stack on Anglesey taken with the same lens that took this, and the image was cropped to almost 100%. I just needed to get closer to them to get a good shot.
This weekend I decided to treat myself and the Mrs to a 'luxury coastal cruise' by a company called 'Shearwater' in North Wales.
Despite the very grey weather and the slight drizzle of rain it was an incredible day. The list of animals we saw close up is pretty big, even if you aren't a wildlife junky (like me) it is still a brilliant trip to take.

Used my old D5100+105 to take a few shots of this pair of common blues paired this afternoon at strumpshaw

This is John H. Riggs (04 Aug 1851 - 14 Sep 1919) and Melvina Annette Stephens Riggs (24 Mar 1850 - 28 Mar 1932). They lived in Oklahoma a relatively short time, around 1910. This cabinet card was probably finished around then when John was about 60. He died in 1919 at 68 years old.
- This is another animal piece for the table, a pair of cobras made in cast iron. Not as sweet as the cat from yesterday's photo, these cobras looks like a fighting pair.
I spotted those two guys who had I thought a nice happy face and way of walking, almost 'cool' attutude with is in contrast with their age, way to be dressed. I bet the smaller one is the boss of the two.
AGD (Demolition) Ltd had this pair of Magirus-Deutz tippers KOP 317P and KOP 310P, they were photographed at a demolition site in Birmingham being loaded with the remains of what looks like a small factory.
It would have been easy to remove Ada from the foreground but I hadn't the heart, particularly as she is balancing a mug on her head!

A pair of Razorbills, (Alca torda) greeting each other on the cliffs at Bempton, East Yorkshire, UK.

We watch these two grizzled skippers circling each other a few inches above the ground before deciding to pair up.

Next time I'll take a few hard copy pictures to their owner for the pleaseure they bring me. They just shine too much to get the right colour on the digital camera.... yet!
Is there anything better than walking in a woodland in Springtime, surrounded by a carpet of bluebells, with sun shining through fresh green beech leaves?
Perhaps only when there are also orchids?
