In the process of finishing off all my stationery and other fun bits, everything to be black on yellow. This is the packaging for anything thats going on cd or dvd basically!
I have many nieces and nephews... and I really like to give them all a little gift or something at Christmas. They're aged between 1 and 20... so I often have to do a lot of thinking ;).
This one goes to Liina who just had her 15th birthday!
We are really proud of this one!
There was a lot of creative troubleshooting to do for this photo but it was fun overall

I totally, 100% stole this packaging from Cookieartisan. I've always used these boxes, but I never once thought to line them with anything. (Hey Maryann, any hints on lining these easier? It was a pain! But sooo pretty!) I just love how they look all packaged up!
Thanks doge! Didn't know they would come with stud blasters. Also , I kinda laughed when I saw you used the same note. The clones are really nice too , I'm probably gonna take pictures of them doing stuff soon. Once again , it's been nice trading you and perhaps I'll do it again soon.
Also , it arrived really early. That was a nice Easter surprise , actually.
After I packaged these sets and mailed them off last week, I realized that I have had this same packaging for a few years now. I got to wondering if it was time for me to change it up, or is it best to stay consistent and stick with what people know you by... I couldn't decide on what was best. I still like this packaging, as it still represents "my style", but is it kinda boring? I wonder if people are sick of it by now or if they like that it is "Melacacia"? lol
What do you guys think? ^____^
WEEK 52.1 – Flashback 2016: Hernando Walmart (IV)
Here’s a look at the packaged deli sign, which hung from the ceiling above some coffin cases and the coolers along the right-side wall. As much as I like these classic Project Impact pillow signs, the ones in grocery here seemed a little redundant: they have text on both sides, but the side opposite the one pictured above really isn’t of much use! With the black décor 2.0 remodel, one-sided signs replaced these and simply line the wall.

I recently did a trade with ponyguru and her pile of stuff showed up at my door today. I initially just traded for the two Graces you see, but she found a lot of 70s doll clothes and accessories she figured I might like.
I had to leave the house but I managed a few pics. I already see some Best Buys and other later 70s stuff like chairs and accessories so I’m excited to dig through all this when I get home.
So happy to have found a solution that allows me to safely ship CDs & DVDs without extra packaging! So - it's a jewel case, a mailer, and a storage case all in one.. and not likely to be thrown out!! A little more environmentally friendly than a jewel case + bubble or paper mailer, and it's pretty swanky, no?

WEEK 34 – Horn Lake Walmart, Set I
Last but not least for this Saturday, a semi-close-up of the HL WM's packaged deli department. I will say that the signage doesn't look all that bad here (and indeed, I liked the original Impact, and admit that the following iterations did keep its fundamental design intact even if it cheapened the physical quality of the décor pieces)... it's just the lack of signage elsewhere, in more zoomed-out views, that contributes to the “cheap” environment. But I'll get more into that next time, which is in two weeks.
Next week – speaking of “iterations,” more from the Southaven Gordmans reopening is on its way...!

This work is from a series of paintings that I see as stills in a sort of painterly movie. Here a barefoot man with noticeably wet jeans sits beside a phone box and waits for his lift to the restoration/analysis section of the museum. What is in the box is a mystery. Has he collected specimens from the ocean? What is the connection to the image of Lake Mungo in the phone box normally reserved for advertisements.
I have recently been interested in the relationship between painting and the moving image, which has led to my collaborative work with film director Kasimir Burgess. Julia Ciccarone, 2014.
