An officer candidate examing his foot after the traditional 100km march.
He truly was a tough bastard. Despite not being really fit, maybe even a bit overweight, he finished each one of all the walks, everytime with the worst blisters ...

Something a little different this week. The sun did make an appearance just before dusk, but by the time I got out it had dipped too low. I miss you Mr Sun!
Anyway, I saw this tree covered in a mess of fairy lights and thought ok, lets make a FF shot out of this. All 3 were taken with the same settings. It went something a little like this....
Image 1: Focus on post, place the tree on the right 3rd, click. Meh!. Look behind me, see a traffic warden approach, kneel down, wait for him to enter the frame, click. Oh I quite like the blur. Not much bokeh though and a bit too central this time. A possible one though.
Image 2: Focus closer, on the rail near me this time. Click. Ok, getting a bit of bokeh now. I spy a cyclist approach...quick, click. Mmmm, he's maybe a bit too blurry and the fence is not as strong, kind of lost along the pavement/road, but the bokeh in the tree is ok.
Image 3: Get lower down, make the fence more prominent (wish they'd painted this one white, it's getting quite dark now). Place tree on the right to try and fill the empty sky on the left (noticed in other shots). Ok, better. Down a bit more so the rail clears the traffic, ok...hello, those street lights are peeking over the top of the rail, gently move and click. Ok, liking it better now. All we need now is a cyclist. Yikes, you're a big doggie, Nice doggie, where did you come from? Oh god, here's a stagger of drunks approaching me now. Hurry up cyclist, hurry up! No sorry pal, no spare change. Yes I'm taking photos. Just of the traffic and the mess of fairy lights in the tree. Wish I could, pal, skint myself. Thanks, you take care as well. Damn, missed that cyclist. Oh brilliant, a bus now and it's stopping. Hello people on the bus staring at me, hello. Oh, the traffic lights have now changed, there will be no cyclist now for a couple of minutes. Oww, my knees hurt! Ok, that'll do, I've got something to work with - as one shepherd said to the other, "Lets get the flock out of here!" and I really need to stop this internal monologue that goes on in my head!
Such are my FF's :-)
Off out, catch up with you all soon. HFF!

You know the day destroys the night
Night divides the day
Tried to run
Tried to hide
Break on through to the other side
Break on through to the other side
Break on through to the other side, yeah
We chased our pleasures here
Dug our treasures there
But can you still recall
The time we cried
Break on through to the other side
Break on through to the other side
Yeah!
C'mon, yeah
Everybody loves my baby
Everybody loves my baby
She get
She get
She get
She get high
I found an island in your arms
Country in your eyes
Arms that chain us
Eyes that lie
Break on through to the other side
Break on through to the other side
Break on through, oww!
Oh, yeah!
Made the scene
Week to week
Day to day
Hour to hour
The gate is straight
Deep and wide
Break on through to the other side
Break on through to the other side
Break on through
Break on through
Break on through
Break on through
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

"Beng in the bottom 2 definately made me try to bring out more poses this time around. Unfortunately my hair dye is not permanent and it washed away when I got into the water. Who would want to ruin my lovely golden locks. I will be getting more dye if I make it to the next round. Oww my back hurts..."
I really wanted to do something big for this theme, but the weather doesn't like working with me down here in Washington and i had to get something turn in before the deadline. So I lost all my bikinis and water with home-made bikinis was not a good mix at all. So I went simple and hopefully my past work will help me get through. The plain grass was definately not Fiji enough for me so I went with the classic bed of rocks backround!
As a side note I would like to apoligize for my side ranting on my call-out last week. I guess being sent home on a photo I worked so hard on got the best of me. Hopefully that won't happen again.
Despite appearances still open at this stage. Either 1993 or early 1994 given that the OWW was closed north of here at this stage.
So, I decided to tell these kids story in the form of an ask blog on Tumblr. So if you interested, here's the link to first (and at the moment only) post: ask-danganronpa-testing-despair.tumblr.com/post/174451813...

DMU 'bubble' car 55033 in Midline West Midlands livery is stabled by the gantry at Worcester Shrub Hill in the afternoon of the 4th October 1989 waiting its next trip to Barnt Green I would guess! Behind the gantry is the remains of the OWW shed building which was completely demolished over the weekend of 2nd December 1989. I believe the Midline livery was not applied to many units and any information about that livery gratefully received.
