A pair of two tone Vauxhalls, lovely.
This Royale, belonging to a friend of mine, is the definition of cool in my eyes. Funky retro looks, plenty of chrome, military grade bumper overriders and... full red velour interior. Nice!
A fine ex Great Western corrugated iron shed in fact. This is Stourbridge Junction and the long demolished Stourbridge Junction North Signal Box is opposite the point where the Birmingham line joins the line to Dudley, the old OWW line. Just clearing the junction is W55003 a Gloucester single car unit, it has Stourbridge town on the blind.

A records shot really........A look over the railings, and something I didn't expect to see while wailting for Pendos and Voyagers crossing Lower Walsall Street, Wolverampton.
High above on the Stour Valley Line, a fleeting glimpse of a Wolves bound Pendolino (upper centre left) as it looks over to the twin portals of the tunnel that lead the GWR lines (the Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Dudley Railway & the OWW) from Birmingham and Stourbridge into the Wolverhampton Low Level. I believe there was a bridge over the railway at this point, long since filled in.
I often wonder what would have happened to the railways of the Black Country if regional boundries had not changed.
In 1976 Moreton-in-Marsh station, opened 1853, retained its Great western Railway country station atmosphere with semaphore signals, 1880s signal box & station canopies. A rake of vans in the sidings is a sight long gone from the station however. The Down yard in the left distance has since been built over with housing units. The station is still open on the Oxford to Worcester Cotswolds Line.
The branch to Shipston-on-Stour used to curve off to the right behind the box - the platform is still there at this time. The truncated lines were then used to park the permanent way vehicles.

YX24 OVW is an AD E40D/AD Enviro400 MMC new to Lochs, Leurbost is March 2024.
It is one of three bought to supplement a former demonstrator in use on cruise ship shuttles betwen the new deep water cruise terminal and Stornoway town centre.

SJ19 OWW is a Volvo B8L/Alexander Dennis Enviro400XLB new to the Lothian Buses fleet in March 2019 as their number 1081. It is seen here in central Edinburgh whilst working service 27 (Silverknowes-Hunter's Tryst).
