I had overworked him on a hot day. Kept pouring water on him to cool him down. He made it, with a good appetite upon our return home, but I am leaving one to two hours later for the rest of the summer.

Hey, what is this? We have to tear it out to be able to get to the foundation of the house and I'm trying to figure out if it's worth saving, how many years' worth of growth this was, etc. It makes a nice green wall, but also we're sort of overworked and I don't want to expend a lot of energy on something very common and fast-growing.

Overtime - Crazy deadlines, tight work schedules, highly competitive environments builds stress minute by minute. It brings in a sense of mindless chase, a feeling of disorientation and it would not be a surprise if one fails to realize if its a sun or a moon.

Day 152/365
Based on how I got a nosebleed that one time last week when I overworked myself all day through school, work and then working out.
Today was great. Last night I went to my youth group event and that was so much fun - tractor rides, bonfire, roping, shooting, etc. And then my best friend came over for the night. We stayed up and watched a movie and some episodes of a show and talked. Then we crashed at 3, woke up at 9. We got up and got ready. We went to my friend's house and made some blueberry pancakes with a side of mint cookie ice cream on the side because why not. Then I came home at 12 and have been a bum since. Yay?

Work on the memorial, which was begun in 1902 as the largest ever commissioned by Congress at the time, was created by sculptor Henry Merwin Shrady. Shrady spent 20 years of his life working on the memorial and died, stressed and overworked, two weeks before its dedication in 1922. The depiction of the fallen rider in the sculpture is believed to be Shrady's self portrait.

Urban architecture from a different perspective.
Midwinter break = an entire extra week for exhausted, overworked high school students to eat a lot, spend a lot, and most of all, SLEEP a lot!
I don't really know why it took so long for me to remember that breaks like this are the perfect opportunity to take pictures. Thus... spontaneous photo walk with friends!
We left for downtown Seattle at around 9:30PM and ended up roaming around the waterfront area by the piers and the Seattle Aquarium until around 1AM, I believe...? We were all kind of sketched out, comforted only a little by the idea of using our tripods as weapons LOL.
It was freezing cold, so after we ran out of ideas, we took a much needed trip to Dick's to warm up and nomnomnom on cheeseburgers :D
I ended up taking like less than 20 pictures that night lol, figures. I'm not really used to taking pictures at night, nor do I often used my wimpy little aluminum tripod from the '90s HAH. Sigh, working on that. Oh well, it was loads of fun!

The killing fields are the site of the mass graves men, women and children that were brought from the torture center at S-21 Tuol Sleng prison.

As I posted so many photos of Sydney's most well known icon this time I tried to put it a different light. Literally I overexposed the shot and correct it later on with PS and this wonderful strong contrast came out. Though I should crop the lower stairs ...
By the way this was the first time after 8 months here I was at the opera house, funny ey?

My husband and I decided last Monday that we were in need of an emergency vacation..
We were feeling a little "Blue" and overworked.. So instead of continuing with our day to day we packed a bag scooped up the kids and headed to LA to stay with my Uncle.. 35 minutes from The Happiest Place On Earth!!!! We spent Wednesday at Disneyland and Thursday at Ca Adventures.
The crowds were big but we know our way around so we got to do and see all we wanted. It was wonderful.. but Im now wondering if its possible to die from having too.much.fun.

ok this isn't HDR but my attempt to emulate it after seeing my friends work which made the pic below look washed out but does this just look overworked ? Honest answers please.
5 shot blend in Enfuse. Some PS and Nik filters to help with colors and lighting. Added fire. Also used Nik's tonal contrast on the stone floor.
Overworked?
I had day off plans to wake up early for waterfall shots in the gorge. Instead I woke up to non-stop rain and 60 degree weather in the middle of July. I know Oregon gets a bad weather rap but this year is something else. So sitting in my house all day made me this shot from some old logging rig stock. I purposely overworked this shot for effect. Check out some of my older posts to see some of my logging rig work under real conditions. Thanks for looking.
Well, the deal is we put in the ugly children too? This was not well drawn and then was seriously overworked, but I did it tonight after eating lunch with my children, shopping, attending a funeral, and talking to Speck while I tried to paint. It is dark and dingy, but it was done today and it is what it is....The day was that way too...rain continues, but I think it is on its way out.

Details: This was my second plein-air painting in the Owen Rose Garden. I thought I would try to do some watercolor and I found that I overworked and crowded the composition with too much detail. I muddied the paint didn't go from light to dark. I have so much to learn in watercolors, but it was a fun try.

Dolci & Kabana present their second major project, #thathautecouturefeeling in collaboration with fashion/design practice AFTRS. For most of us, haute couture – the highest of high fashion – remains a myth-like concept, so removed from reality that it becomes a vague feeling of desire, an out-of-reach constructed image of fashion. Coupled with this is our reality of luxury fashion houses experienced through their diffusion lines: the less expensive branded t-shirt or treasured packaging. This familiar (fashion) tension of longing for the one whilst living with the many, the high and the low, the ‘haute’ and the diffused is the subject of this exhibition.
#thathautecouturefeeling collects a palette of what Dolci & Kabana call ‘haute couture feelings’: relatable, palpable ways we experience fashion-like, heightened states of emotion in everyday life. The exhibition is framed around a poem: a ‘Merchandise Poem’, unraveling this palette of ‘high’ and low feelings, love and loss, luxury, tragedy and humour as a branding gesture. The Merchandise Poem also encapsulates the limitations and artifice of projecting the ‘ideal woman’ or muse of a brand, instead celebrating a woman of awkward glamour, repressed earnest desire, clumsiness and subtlety. The sentiments of the Merchandise Poem are further explored in music or ‘Merchandise Karaoke’ – a simulated form of karaoke that unpacks the emotional resonance of music through lyrics, YouTube videos, and Google image searches.
Finally, ‘haute couture feeling’ is explored through ‘haute merchandise’ – an oxymoronic form developed by AFTRS, which fuses high technical proficiency with diffused, simplified, haphazard and playful techniques. Using the Merchandise Poem as a design brief, AFTRS investigates dress standards that imply such extreme states or feelings, expressing these ideas as a sequence of collided codes of palpable luxury: sleep/evening wear, generic materials, promotional garments, packaging as content and the dissolution of conspicuous branding signatures through hackneyed printing techniques. In an extreme act of ‘diffusion’, AFTRS disperses the Dolci & Kabana brand, overworking it to dissolve the iconography of style.
#thathautecouturefeeling forms part of the Cultural Program of the L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival.

Dolci & Kabana (Ricarda Bigolin & Nella Themelios) is a collective operating amorphously between the fields of art, design, and fashion.
AFTRS (Ricarda Bigolin) is a drifting/parasite fashion/design practice. Concerned with the after-thoughts of fashion production and consumption, embracing the aspiration and resignation within the inevitable fallacies and fantasies of fashion.
