adam alexander senior pics...all of the edits - if there is an action name in the file name it's a my four hens photography action :D
i don't like processed/overprocessed photos - but he does.
Hannah has got a great expression on this picture. She has an open and friendly face. I didn't like the background of the photo, so I overprocessed it for fun and I like it this way.
Even in all of my excitement with the original, single exposure of this area, I had to click off a few for an HDR. I overprocessed it on purpose to give it the "crazy-HDR" look.
Heavy Frost.
It turns out we got a pretty cold winter, it's now several weeks more or less freezing. The snow is gone, but the lakes have thick ice now. This allows persepectives that are impossible normally, you can just walk into the lake. Nice. Unfortunately the paths are slippery, I managed to fall on my buttock on my way back, but luckily I had my camera packed already, when that happened.
I realitze the last few rounds of photos were a little heavy handed and overprocessed. Here I tried a more subtle rendering which maybe suits the subject better? I don't know. Decisions, decisions ... I try to get out again to one of the lakes at the weekend. Usually at the weekend under such conditions everything is pretty crowded and not so nice and quiet as it looks like here, when I was almost on my own.
Trying out my new "Nifty 50" Nikon 50mm 1.8 (the cheap & cheerful 50mm!) In my excitement I may have overprocessed a tad, but there's a sweet bit of bokeh action going on in the background.
A little summertime goodness I found today at Lake Crabtree park in Raleigh. I overprocessed the image a little, but I love the deep blue sky, so I kept it. I am ready to spend a week at the beach (or the lake) and just relax.
Cheers,
Wade
a bit overprocessed. I wasn't really going for reality once I saw how the green bushes were starting to look.

Please don't pinch my pictures. If you'd like to use them, then let me know. I probably won't charge, but it's nice to be nice, right?

...another one from my beloved La Defense (Paris).
Overprocessed? I wouldn't love it any other way :-)

I experimented, again, I'm not at all sure, these might be quite overprocessed ... Well, failure is part of photography.
An interactive sculpture, made from scrap metal and titled ‘a sledgehammer to crack a nut’. Intended as "a graphic demonstration of the absurdity of overprocessing plants". I suspect that it's far too entertaining for most observers to see it as a symbol of absurdity. But it does break down sometimes, it seems.
I didn't think I'd like it in sepia, but this works! =)

Overprocessed?.. =/ Feedback appreciated!

Took me ages to find the right words to Google to find a tutorial for this industrial effect - turns out the magic word is "gritty". It was fun to play with - I haven't tried anything new like this for a while. (Tute: www.photoshopessentials.com/photo-effects/overprocessed-p...)
No trick or treaters knocked on our door this hallowe'en (that we know of, we went out at 7pm and didn't return until 12am) so the emergency 'treats' that Colin bought 'just in case' are for us! Yum!
you're going to have to wait for this. But it'll be worth it. I'm reserving it for a tiny flickr mixr avec the citymorningblue & nevadaskyphoto & our friend Maggie who we have yet to convince to get an account.

I had to do quite a bit of overprocessing to compensate for having to use my point & shoot... it's amazing the quality difference when I don't have my fancy SLR gizmos at hand.

This is my first attempt at HDR so be gentle lol. Hopefully it is not overprocessed. I find it hard to shoot the landscape up in the mountains because you get 3 such sharp contrasts between the dark gully, the sunlit side of the cliffs and then the sky. So I actually remembered this time to take some shots to work on back home to see what could be done. I like how you can see the darker green of the wet rainforest cutting into the dry eucalypt forests.
hate. the. wire.
Have probably overprocessed to try and get the wire to be less prominent. The female's the one in focus. She was just hanging out, the male was the one fussing about with the nest.
Trying to maintain a healthy diet but can't resist a scoop of ice cream after dinner? This healthy ice cream recipe is a game changer for satisfying cravings without the calories, sugar, and fat found in conventional ice cream. A protein ice cream recipe calls for only four easy ingredients and thirty seconds of your time. With this favorite 1-minute protein ice cream recipe, you can make your own protein ice cream at home. It may be made vegan and contains only four ingredients.
This healthy ice cream could not be easier to prepare. If you're looking for a low-sugar option, the bananas and peanut butter are the only sources of sweetness. As a source of daily protein and healthy fats, peanut butter is also an excellent addition to any dessert. Blend together for a healthy ice cream recipe you'll want to make by the bucket.
These recipes for protein ice cream are great for giving your muscles protein and carbs right after a workout. In addition, there is no added sugar to keep you from counting calories.
The creamiest, healthiest ice cream can be made from frozen bananas. To freeze bananas, peel them first, then cut them in half and place them in a freezer bag. To prevent them from sticking together when frozen, you can freeze them separately on a tray and then transfer them to a freezer bag
Homemade High protein Ice Cream Recipe
You'll need a strong blender or food processor to whip up your preferred protein ice cream. Xanthan gum, a thickening and stabilizing substance found in classic ice cream, salad dressings, baked products, syrups, soups, etc., is the main ingredient that many people rely on to give the chilled delicacy an ice cream-like feel. Since it's already present in most protein powders, you'll just need to add a teaspoon or so to your protein ice cream.
Recipe 1 -
Banana Protein Ice Cream
Ingredients:
500g frozen bananas
4-6 scoops Vanilla Impact Protein
250ml fat-free yoghurt (use dairy-free for vegan)
50ml milk (of choice)
Method:
First, combine all of the ingredients until they are nearly smooth, without overprocessing. Be careful not to overprocess the combination, as it will begin to warm and become excessively liquid, making it unsuitable for immediate consumption.
Next, reheat a spoon under the tap, scoop the ice cream into a bowl, and consume immediately.
Pour the leftover ice cream into an airtight Tupperware container and freeze for future use.
Mix your protein ice cream every hour during the first four hours of freezing to keep it creamy. If you want, you may skip this step and simply thaw the protein ice cream for 15 minutes each time you want some.
Add your preferred nutritious toppings, such as cinnamon, chocochips or blueberries.
Recipe 2 -
Ingredients:
Bananas
Peanut butter
50ml milk (of choice)
Sugar-free syrup or Choco Chips (optional)
Method:
Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with nonstick paper. Slice the bananas and distribute them evenly around the tray.
In a freezer, place the tray for two to three hours, or until it is completely frozen.
In a food processor, blend the frozen banana.
In a blender, combine peanut butter and milk and process until smooth.
Simply scoop the mixture into a bowl and eat. For additional richness, you can sprinkle over chocolate chips or Sugar-Free Syrup.
Recipe 3 -
A peanut butter banana variation can be made by combining two to three frozen bananas, one scoop of vanilla protein powder, two tablespoons of powdered or plain peanut butter, and a splash of almond milk in a blender. The bananas take on the role of ice in this version of the smoothie. Additionally, chocolate chips can be added near the end of the mixing process in order to add some crunch.
Final Thoughts
The good thing about high-protein ice cream is that you can change it up based on your tastes and what you have on hand. The majority of the recipes call for one cup or less of your preferred nut milk, combined with ice, frozen fruit, or other sweet ingredients (including Oreos, whipped cream, pudding mix, or even cereal). Obviously, you will also add a protein source; protein powder, Greek yoghurt, or peanut butter powder are popular choices.
i have officially maxed out grow-light space now that i've transferred tomatoes, eggplants, and pepper to larger pots. currently we have:
- 80 tomato seedlings
- 20 eggplant seedlings
- 10 serrano pepper seedlings
- a bunch of basil and parsley still growing in their little trays
- nasturtiums (pictured here), cosmos, and sunflower seedlings off and running
- oh and there are 10 more tomato seedlings on the windowsill in tex's classroom, since there's no room for them here and i couldn't bear the thought of sacrificing the poor innocent little guys
i had to put all the veggie seedlings in pairs in the 4" pots, or else i would have had to sacrifice half of them. i think they'll be fine that way. right??
Today's been kinda stupid. And when i have stupid days.. i photoshop stuff. and keeping in the theme of the day, this gave me issues. i couldn't get it to look how i wanted. so here.. its a bunch of stuff crammed into one picture.. :-/
a vote would be nice.
