HRD Image of Pikes Peak from CO 94. Traffic was a little heavier then I would have liked (note the various cars combined in the image going down the road). And yes I know it is way overprocessed, but I was kind of having some fun with PS.

Please don't pinch my pictures. If you'd like to use them, then let me know. I probably won't charge, but it's nice to be nice, right?

From Wikipedia
Portchester Castle is a medieval castle and former Roman fort at Portchester to the east of Fareham, occupying a commanding position at the head of Portsmouth Harbour. The castle is a Scheduled Ancient Monument and a Grade I listed building. The castle has been in the ownership of the Southwick Estate since the 17th century but is managed by English Heritage and open to visitors throughout the year. It is the only Roman fort in northern Europe with the majority of the walls and bastions complete and still standing.
The Norman church, St. Mary's, which stands in the south-east corner of the grounds, falls within the Anglican Diocese of Portsmouth.

Animals can suffer and feel pain. They need greater protection worldwide. We are seeking this in the form of a Universal Declaration on Animal Welfare (UDAW) at the United Nations.
For some reason my pictures are looking a little overprocessed on Flickr...if someone knows something HELP ME PLEASE!

I am just finishing a major enhancement of my own GRIP software so that all image processing can be done in the 32-bit-per-channel accumulator that results from stacking images (and also the result can be saved as a FITS file without reducing the bit depth).
Using that on an M31 image I photographed in 2010 December, I was able to bring out the tremendous amount of detail seen here. As an aesthetic image it is overprocessed but it demonstrates that there is a huge amount of information in a stacked image that cannot always be seen.
I really need to mess with this with a real blur, not picnik's soften. But if I don't get these up today, I don't know when I'll get motivated to do it.
This turned out over exposed, blown out, so very little detail. A bit of fiddling in Aperture, and I really, really like the results.
Hannah has got a great expression on this picture. She has an open and friendly face. I didn't like the background of the photo, so I overprocessed it for fun and I like it this way.

I have a lot of reservations about this. One, is the over-emphasised noise/grain. Two is selectively colouring a rainbow - since it is indistinct, it's really hard to do! And last it's channel mixed really hard to make the clouds pop. Still, there's some interesting elements - what do you think?
I like the vantage, and I plan to get back there for a sunrise with my 40D - this was taken on a cybershot. Gear snobbery aside, there just isn't the range and flexibility I'm used to!
I got a package from Sherry Krauter yesterday. [grin]. Now, if only I could find a filter or lens cap to protect the front element. (sigh). Series filter hell again. But these older versions are always cheaper than the E55 ones.
Damn. I'm back to overprocessing again.
But hey! Maybe I'm beginning to master this foreground/midground/background thing.
Maybe I'm weird. I have some issues with food. And I'm a vegetarian. So maybe it's just my skewed perspective...but...a vending machine doesn't seem like the appropriate place for a "grab bag" style sale. It's not cheap, either - $2.50 for whatever's in that little brown bag. Sure, the possibility exists that $2.50 is a bargain for the contents, who knows, it could be one of those rare truffles. But given the surrounding offers of a "Biggaz Chicken Sandwich," "Big Guy Sub," and "Buffaloaded Drummies" I'm guessing some overprocessed part of an animal is hiding in that bag.
Oh. And. Our vending machines are now offering "healthy" choices. These are the new, improved healthy choices. I kid you not.
These are half sisters. Sunshine is 10 yrs old, Sundance is 6 months old.
I did some processing that is perhaps a bit 'overprocessed' but I enjoyed the effect.
Sunshine is the one who had a severe knee injury this summer and has recovered far more than anyone has anticipated.
A tad oversharpened, this is the print version - looks better on paper. (Now looking at this a few years down the line it is grossly overprocessed - must do a new version).
Taken from the Brooklyn Side. 3 shot HDR. I liked this one "overprocessed" to bring out the colors and mood of the sky.. Got to get around to fixing the "haloing" around the buildings to the right.
I met my Flickr posse at Namhansanseong on Sunday and we walked around in the woods. Not feeling great so I was intermittently anti-social and crabby. This is me being anti-social, by the way.
I took 50 crappy photos and overprocessed this crappy one to compensate.
But we ate pajeon and drank beer under a canopy in the rain at the top of the mountain and no bullshit mood swings could stop that from being magical.
A stormy summer day in waterloo. Another picture I found edited. but not uploaded - I probaly thought it was overprocessed, and you might too, but thats ok.

The best gazpacho I've ever tasted was made by my aunt Joyce. I compare all other gazpachos to hers. This one wasn't even close. However, that may not be the recipe's fault. I think that could be due in part to the person who made this (sorry), or that we didn't allow the soup to chill thoroughly or stand overnight. I had no part in this one.
Yield: 6 servings
Cucumber, halved/seeded, but not peeled -- 1 each
Red bell peppers, cored and seeded -- 2 each
Plum tomatoes -- 4 each
Red onion (small) -- 1 each
Garlic, minced -- 3 cloves
Tomato juice -- 3 c
White wine vinegar -- ¼ c
Extra virgin olive oil -- ¼ c
Kosher salt -- ½ Tbsp
Black pepper, freshly ground -- 1 tsp
1. Roughly chop the cucumbers, bell peppers, tomatoes, and red onions into 1-inch
cubes. Put each vegetable separately into a food processor fitted with a steel blade
and pulse until it is coarsely chopped (do not overprocess).
2. After each vegetable is processed, combine them in a large bowl and add the
garlic, tomato juice, vinegar, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well and chill before
serving. The longer the soup chills, the more the flavors will develop.
