Anregung war die Stadtmauer von Jockgrim in der Pfalz, die mich faszinierte. Besonders gefiel mir dabei die Idee darzustellen, wie ich eine hohe Mauer überwinden könnte - eine Geschichte des Lebens.
The inspiration was the city wall of Jockgrim in the Palatinate, which fascinated me. I especially liked the idea of how I could overcome a high wall - a history of life.

All lives have to endure challenges, pain and hurt, sickness, losses in many forms, things to overcome.
Sometimes the struggle is hard and frightening.
Sometimes a person finds is difficult to cope and deal with what is happening in his/her life.
There seems to be no way out or the path that has to be walked is long and uncertain.
What people need most then is love.
Love for yourself, to be loved by a partner, family and friends.
Love is the light on any (dark) path.
While going that path, you need strength. Some find it in themselves, others get strengthened by other people.
Through words, a song, a poem, art, a picture, being in nature, being surrounded by loved ones.
Whatever it is that is hard in your life, I wish for you to overcome it by LOVE and by STRENGTH. By all that is in you.
These paintings are created for that purpose. I hope they will be a guide for you on your path.

With the roar of my engine echoing through the towering pines, it sounded like a symphony to my restless soul.
A lone wolf on the misty forest highway, chasing freedom or maybe running from something darker.
The leather of my jacket is worn, a testament to the miles I've ridden and the challenges I've overcome.
I press on, full lthrottle, my gaze focused ahead, my mind contemplating the road that lies before me.
For in these fleeting moments of solitude, I know I will find the answers I seek - the ones that will guide me to wherever it is I need to be.

Evening mist is slowly forming over the flat Howe of Fife; its only half seven but the sun is low. A very warm and muggy evening and thunderstorms forecast tomorrow.
170407 forming ScotRail's 1L02 1911 Perth to Edinburgh leaves Ladybank with the climb to Lochmuir summit barely started. The branch service to Perth is currently under some scrutiny with COVID related service cuts mooted.

Taken earlier in the year, this guy is one of a number of Romanians who practice street entertainment in Liverpool City Centre !
Some of them play the accordion alone or in pairs but he is one of a group that numbers b/t 4 & 8 at any one time and play a variety of instruments !
Now that I have a 10mm WA lens, perhaps I'll be able to get them all in one shot !

Lower Lewis Falls and it's beautiful curtain of water. I imagine this waterfall put up quite the obstacle to anyone or thing trying to travel up river.

I was lucky enough to head over to Hawaii with my Friend Miles Morgan a couple months ago to visit our good friends Bruce Omori and Tom Kualii from Extreme Exposure Gallery and get some much desired lava photography done. What a trip! Great times with great friends, great shooting, and the most fast food I have ever eaten!
This shot was from our last morning of shooting, which was by far one of my best mornings of shooting ever. The flows were running well, the plume of steam was blowing just the right direction, and the light didn't let us down at all.
