“The most authentic thing about us is our capacity to create, to overcome, to endure, to transform, to love and to be greater than our suffering.”

The history of human progression through ages has taught me one simple thing..."if your will is honest and effort is conscientious, then life will teach you to journey through all hurdles and highs"
Here is a couple mountain bikers expressing the same simple message while cycling through the Baralach Pass (4,890 mts, 16,000 ft) on Manali-Leh Highway, Lahaul valley, Himachal Pradesh, India
I was so excited when I saw the way the sun was shining through these stain glass windows at St. Vitus' Cathedral, Prague.....the reflections and colours were just gorgeous.....I tried my best to capture this extraordinary scene...hope you enjoy.......

Overcome with the feeling that in this small corner of the atmosphere reigns complete and utter silence; that here, in the darkness, immutable tranquility holds sway.

Isaiah 24:20 “The earth will be moving uncertainly, like a man overcome by drink; it will be shaking like a tent; and the weight of its sin will be on it, crushing it down so that it will not get up again.”
"Cygnus touchdown in 30", cited Ellwood calmly into his headset for history's sake knowing that no one would hear it for weeks.
Having been awakened four days ago he still felt weak and a little woozy, but setting eyes on the Swan provided enough adrenaline to overcome such trivialities. The blue orb glowed in it's ink black surroundings and his eyes darted to take it all in before his one way trip was over and he'd never see such sights again. "When you are a planet named after a constellation, you gotta be good", he quipped to himself.
The Rocinante pierced the atmosphere with a fiery roar that baptized the ship and ended all possibilities of communication with Earth simultaneously.
Another jolt as the reverse rockets fired adding to the cacophony that was his tiny world for the moment, ten NASCAR races combined couldn't mimic the din. Ever so slowly the descents' speed was lessened until that spine shrinking final blast, the hover, and then touchdown. All was silent except for his breathing which he had to urge because his body seemingly had forgotten to do it on its own.
Test probes had reported air that was breathable, too late to worry about that now so Ellwood unscrewed his helmet and tossed it aside, unless he would need a fishbowl later it was useless now. He took two deep breaths as he stared at the hatch. The hatch that would open to a new world, his new world. One final thought hit him as he reached for the door to the rest of his life, 'did I leave the oven on?'....
Watching a storm take over the mountains over a lake is such an incredible moment in time. It is an overcoming feeling to stand before the mountains with a storm swamping them. There is so much power being displayed in this one moment. The mountains already remind us of how small we are and then when a storm has the power to overcome them it shows us truly how small and powerless we are. The Creator always has more power than the created. Let a moment like this send a holy chill down your spine that reminds you that you are not in control and that there is One who rules the entire universe! There is one who has both the power and authority to not just kill the body, but also the body and soul both for all of eternity. This same One can also give life to those who are dead. His name is JESUS!

The Church and Convent of Santo Domingo is a Catholic temple built in the Historic Center of the city of Quito.
Its construction began in 1540, with a temporary chapel. Later, the construction of the temple that persists to the present day began in 1581, concluding the works of the church in 1688.
The temple is covered with works in cedar with gold leaf, and by numerous paintings and carvings that adorn its interior. Along with the main altarpiece, the ten side chapels that complete the interior of Santo Domingo further enrich the internal body of the church with beautiful works in wood and gold leaf.
Of the former grandeur of the church remains the splendid Mudejar roof, the most beautiful of its kind in the architecture of Quito.
The richest and best known of the chapels in the church of Santo Domingo is the Chapel of the Rosary, which is located on the south side of the transept and is built on three different levels. This chapel looks out onto the old street of La Loma (today called Rocafuerte), where, to overcome another unevenness of the terrain, the architects built the Arch of Santo Domingo, with cone-shaped buttresses evoking lookout posts.
As long as we're together, we can face all the struggles this world give us.
~ I want to thank all my sponsors who were very supportive and who understand my situation the past few days. As you all know, Philippines was hit by a Typhoon and flood has really taken a toll in my country. With no electricity for almost 3-4 days, I had to ask for deadlines extension on my blog posts. So again, thank you!

Overcome the initial fear
expanded by ancient legends
Getting in wasn't difficult.
the large door opened when pushed
of the arms
The darkness welcomed her and
For a few moments she saw nothing
Until his eyes adjusted to the little moonlight
Filtered by the glass window on the stairs
Everything was so dark and distressing
The smell of closed time
Tickled the nostrils which failed
Holding back a sneeze
Curiosity pushed her up the stairs
The steps creaked underfoot
Emphasizing the surrounding silence
She was alone
Her playmates had left her alone
When she entered the darkness of the building
She had a moment of fear and
She stopped halfway up the stairs,
the heart was beating so fast
that the heartbeat was like an echo in the void
Undecided whether to continue climbing
Or run down and escape
She remained still, almost holding his breath
Then suddenly she ran up the stairs
Intrigued by now and determined to find out what was up there
She continued to climb..

'I've come to believe that it’s worth getting to know your fearful mind... it’s never going to leave you. You can’t evict it. It’s more or less hardwired into your psyche and will accompany you onto every stage you set foot on, into every job interview you go to, and every new relationship you enter into. It’s there, and it’s not going to shut up.'

In the morning light, so crisp and clear,
Stands an overcomer, without any fear.
With arms stretched wide to embrace the day,
A smile breaks through, like the sun's first ray.
