Outer Banks of North Carolina - Rodanthe

We were leaving the Outer Banks after a beautiful time with the Asimos family. Had to stop at a store to pick something up for Heather and I slipped beside the building to capture this awesome sunset...the air traffic lines added a nice touch to the sky.

the back wall of the module is 2 studs thick, with an inner wall to match the rest of your own module, and the outer wall to match with everyone else's modules. the color of the outer wall will vary from one display to another.

This was the pier out to the Sound. I went here every morning.

So it's 2am and I'm staring at the stars through the roof of my tent, not sleeping. I'm at a campground a few miles from the lighthouse and every 7.5 seconds the beacon flashes its message to me: "Lazy...lazy...lazy". So I head out and shoot until 4. This was one of my first postcards.

A century ago this light would have been crucial to guide a sailboat to the island. Now satellites, GPS and modern technology do the job.

The Adige River is a glorious turquoise. The red-orange walls are a perfect color to accent the river, though this 14th century castle was built for defense, not for show.
