For this card I masked the outer edges of the card and distressed the middle with Tim Holtz's peeled paint and stamped over it with "La letter" (k5344) Then I masked the middle part and stamped the flourish background in Hero Hue "latte" added the Hero hue flowers with gems for color.
Our annual father's day photography adventure had to be postponed. I had job come up last minute so we did our trip a week later. We took Dad's brand new hybrid Lincoln to the Outer Banks in North Carolina. From the mainland you can pretty much drive down to Ocracoke. They have national parks, Wright Brothers stuff and lighthouses. There are also wild horses. It was easy to find a few of them but once we rented a Jeep we could drive down the beach and it seemed like they were everywhere.
Cape Hatteras Lighthouse has got to be the most famous lighthouse on the Outer Banks, maybe, I do not really have any data to back that up. However, it is really recognizable with the spiral pattern and classic lighthouse look. They actually moved this one inland because the spot it was on was going to erode away. We managed to shoot it at midday and sunset. Nearby there is a pond full of turtles, and there is an impression from a lizard in the sidewalk which are both also cool.
