MKT running on trackage rights thru Jefferson CIty, MO in 1986. Their own tracks across the river had been damaged. by a flood a couple of years earlier. They would never be returned to service.

Anglican parish church. C15 west tower, main body rebuilt 1796, restored in 1820 with further late C19 restoration. Finely jointed squared and coursed dressed stone to tower and plinth of remainder, coursed rubble to main body with slate roofs. Nave, chancel, west tower, north and south aisles. 4-stage tower with set back buttresses, moulded string courses and north-east corner polygonal stair turret. Trefoil-headed open panel parapet with corner crocketted pinnacles and fine gargoyles. Top 3 stages have 2-light openings with hoodmoulds and lozenge stops, those below bell stage blind, those to bell stage louvred. 1st stage of west facade has deeply moulded pointed-arched doorway with 2-leaf doors and applied Gothick mouldings; light with intersecting tracery above. Above this a 3-light Gothick window. Simple pointed-arched lights with flat section surrounds and leaded lights to nave. Chancel has two C19 Perpendicular style windows under pointed heads. Chancel parapet has obelisk finials. Interior. Tower arch with 2 orders of wave moulding, 4-bay nave arcades with clustered shafts and pointed arches. Roof over nave and chancel is compartmented with leaf spray rosettes in each panel. This rests on winged cherub corbels. Fittings. West gallery with turned balusters on cast iron piers recording date of rebuilding (1796) and restoration (1820). Good panelled screen to tower arch. Plain Perpendicular style font, wooden Gothick pulpit. 4 wooden prayer boards in chancel. Stained glass heraldic shields to nave windows, east window has 1889 stained glass. Altar rails of similar form to gallery balustrade. Coat of arms below tower on canvas in wooden frame: G.R. III. Benefactions board opposite dated 1813. (N. A medic turns on an SS officer who has ordered him to stop caring for the men at his station in order to save supplies.
I have had this one sitting around for almost a month now. Started with me just really wanting to use some of my MMCB stuff I had gotten at the time. This was actually much bigger than pictured. There was for more to it, but I felt lazy, so I left it like this.
Playing the old "the SS are evil" card. While not true, it does allow for some intreasting builds.

Design and creation by StudioM. This scene was sold to a Promotions company AFTER this photo was taken at our studio and has been widely used by them since in exhibitions, promotions and advertising. The animation company addded some motion by inserting overhead a simple rotating shaft and cam system which connects the puppets to the rotating cams with fishing line, creating some up and down motion. In this photo taken just before it left our premises, we have the puppets secured in position and held up with fishing line to struts above. Claims by the promotions company and its director to be the 'creative force' and 'mastermind' behind it are COMPLETELY false, deliberately misleading and an infringement of our copyright. All original sketches, drawings and instructions to the doll maker are held by StudioM as is the copyright of this scene.

The fortress of Terezín was constructed between the years 1780 and 1790 by the orders of the Austrian emperor Joseph II in the north-west region of Bohemia. It was designed to be a component of a projected but never fully realized fort system of the monarchy, another piece being the fort of Josefov. Terezín took its name from the mother of the emperor, Maria Theresa of Austria who reigned as empress of Austria in her own right from 1740–1780. By the end of the 18th century, the facility was obsolete as a fort; in the 19th century, the fort was used to accommodate military and political prisoners.
From 1914 till 1918 it housed one of its most famous prisoners: Gavrilo Princip. Princip assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria and his wife on June 28, 1914, which led to the outbreak of the First World War. Princip died in cell number 1 from tuberculosis on April 28, 1918.
On June 10, 1940, the Gestapo took control of Terezín and set up the prison in the Small Fortress (kleine Festung), see below. By November 24, 1941, the Main Fortress (große Festung, i.e. the walled town of Theresienstadt) was turned into a ghetto. To outsiders, it was presented by the Nazis as a model Jewish settlement, but in reality it was a concentration camp 'where over 33 000 inmates died as a result of hunger, sickness, or the sadistic treatment meted out by their captors'. Theresienstadt was also used as a transit camp for European Jews en route to Auschwitz. 'Although some survivors claim the population reached 75,000, official records place the highest figure on September 18, 1942, at 58,491 in Kasernes (barracks) designed to accommodate 7000 combat troups.
