Captured in Bernie's garden this afternoon. Her garden is simple but beautiful.

Bought one of these as a present for a friend, and they were so beautiful I couldn't resist, and bought one for us too.

Curious that no matter which setting I chose, this still looks pinky purple and red on screen, while to the eye it is purple and even deeper purple.

Thailand has over 1000 different species of Thai orchids, which are considered a single species. They come in all shapes and colors imaginable to ever see in a rainbow. In January, flower lovers from all over the world flock to visit the north of Thailand for the flowers bloom before their eyes.

Fuqua Orchid Center @ the Gardens

From the archives. I've never yet managed to get them to bloom a second time. They are beautiful but they are starting to irritate me quite a bit....

Maybe I should stick with stuff that you throw in the ground and leave alone. Those seem to work out OK.....
