Ch asked me to take a pic (some pics) of one of the orchids that are n full bloom right now. Using some macro gear from the fifties or sixties on my NEX-6 made this possible...
Lovely orchids... typically so pricey, too. I find mine on clearance at the big hardware stores (Lowe's, Home Depot). I just bought one for about $5 and the one I got last summer for less than $2 has new buds on it (yay!). This one is my dad's - he did what I do, bought it off the clearance rack.
A trip to the City of Regina Greenhouse, always a pleasant visit when it is cold outside and there is snow on the ground.
The Regina Floral Conservatory is operated and maintained by volunteers of the Regina Garden Associates in partnership with the City of Regina.
The current event is "A Glimpse of the Tropics" with a beautiful display of Orchids.

In my bouquet from Rhys and Niah.....not sure what kind of orchid they are, but they are a very beautiful flower....
maybe that's why they were priced so high....
