EXPLORED: #287

...It just gets prettier every day.

All the blooms have opened (thirteen of them!) since I received this beautiful orchid plant for my birthday more than three weeks ago. Thank you again so much, Lauren!

I found the perfect spot for it, (Madge, you were right), and it has given me so much pleasure to watch the blooms open. Orchids are such a lovely house plant - I hope I can keep it happy.

I'll be back later to visit with everyone - in the meantime, have a great weekend everyone!

Southern Marsh Orchid, Dactylorhize des bruyères.

Over the weekend I found a roadside vendor selling gorgeous orchids and I couldn't resist. I bought two for the entryway into my townhouse.

I caught a little late afternoon sun on them and couldn't resisted even though my vision is very bad.

I saw these beauties in an office I visited this week. I was struck by the colors...

This was where I got my pink lines from. This is the orchid I got for my birthday. I'm happy to say it's still alive and blooming six months later.
