A Sunday morning with rain forecast isn't exactly what you want as an amateur photographer. But staying home wasn't an option, so I packed my things and set off. This landscape appeared less than eight kilometers away. The day was saved! :-)

Having his options severely reduced by the heavy snow this woodpecker eventually became a regular at our feeder (he knew it for months but ignored it). Still, it took me a few days to manage a shot without scaring him - got him today at the second attempt through the bathroom window.

This is a SOOC (Straight out of camera) photo. Ok, I did crop it a bit. This was taken at the very colourful Palais des Congrès de Montréal. I was very surprised when I saw this area without colours.

1935 Mercedes 540K Special Roadster.......an OMG design for certain, and my first experiment with layers on Photomater. Big learning curves ahead.....

In the 1930s, Mercedes-Benz dominated the market segment of the international luxury class with its eight-cylinder supercharged cars. The "Type 500 with supercharger", 500 K for short, came out in 1934 as a sporty and elegant top model of the Mercedes-Benz passenger car range and was available in eight different body versions. The crowning glory of all variants was the especially elegant and luxurious Special Roadster. With a price tag of initially 26,000 and later 28,000 Reichsmark (which could also buy a villa at Wannsee), it was also the most expensive version of the 500 K, with only 29 units being produced. The 500 K and its successor, the 540 K, became legends not just because of their superior power delivery, but also because of their ravishingly beautiful, luxuriously finished coachwork bodies. They were built under the direction of Hermann Ahrens in the special car construction department, which was newly founded in 1932 at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Sindelfingen. With their elegant, flowing lines and extensive individualisation options, the bodies made in Sindelfingen were so highly esteemed by customers that, out of the total of 760 customers who purchased a 500 K or 540 K, fewer than 10 percent opted for coachwork from one of the renowned coachwork builders in Germany or abroad - an exceptionally low proportion for a luxury vehicle in those days.

With the color of the beard....

I am coming from a Catwa Daniel head. I was used to the Magnificent that were available to the head but I ended up going with the Jon Head. I picked it up from the Man Cave event on sale because it was a great price.

I am liking the heads from Lelutka The only thing is I am not finding the color to match the hair.

I am a beards beard kind of guy and it's been taking time to get the RGB to even look decent to match the long hair.

I will give it some more time, but right now I am looking at getting the EVOX Skyler when I can get the chance to be to get the set up that I am more liking. .

The older bearded photos are using the Catwa Daniel Head

My new second-hand Sony Alpha 7RIV with my 1970-1980 Canon FE vintage lens :) But I have to deny that the possibility to zoom in and out during MF shots is faster at 7RII - or I didn't find a better option yet :D - maybe, it was more intended to use MF with 7RII than with 7RIV. But it's one reason more to get my 7RII's sensor changed ;)

……I don’t normally post B&W / Colour options, but seeing as this was requested by Judy I thought I would in this case. Quite often I think we imaging what a picture would look like if processed differently, and can easily imagine it to be better - of course this is a personal taste - many folks are not fans of B&W, I am in pretty much equal measure!
