So with all the work I've had lately, it seems the onlytime I pick up my camera is when I'm alone in my apartment, late at night...
This feeling will probably go away once the cold kicks in but on my way home today I got a glimpse of the first christmas lights. In the city the christmas market is opening...Th festival of light is coming up and friday will be the first snow...
I'll be home in a month's time =)
Things are good =D
Radio Television of Vojvodina, or RTV, in Serbia aired a story on Shanghai Tower's design, including an interview with Chief Architect Marshall Strabala.
Serbian to English translation (by Google translate) of the story text:
SHANGHAI - The second largest building in the world Shanghai Tower is open to visitors. Inside the building 632 meters high, the others are to complete some small works, which will be ready by the end of the year, and then it will be able to move tenants.
The construction of monumental buildings began in 2008. The cost of the works beyond 2.5 billion dollars and in the process there were only Chinese companies. The building has 120 floors and it can accommodate several thousand people and different businesses.
Although huge, it is still some 200 meters lower than the highest building, which is located in Dubai. The main architect believes it has its advantages.
Another reason for optimism is the constant growth of the Chinese economy. The construction of this monumental building is a symbol of all that has improved the status of the economy dalekoistične country. Much of the space in the tower of Shanghai is already sold out, and in it will move mainly financial institutions and Chinese government agencies.

My beautiful friend Heather in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, at her dad's cabin. We had so much fun in this trip! This is my first attempt at photoshop ever. I have been so hesitant to post this or any photoshop I have ever done because clearly I expect myself to be as amazing as Brooke Shaden within the first month of teaching myself photoshop...how ridiculous is that!?!!
I realized that I am having so much fun learning photography that I should be enjoying my journey with you and getting your constructive criticism which is vital in order to evolve into being a true artist.
It occurs to me that I really want to be a good artist :)
the lovely kitchen is sadly lit and can often be dreary. when i sit at the table, the hallway light streams in from the main space. this makes me feel optimistic.

Dont Leave me!!
I need you right there next to me ..
I need you to be by my side
I Need to hear your voice every day and every night ..
Do You see how much I need you right now!!!
do you know what feels like loving someone and hiding from admitting that ?
and without telling him that you do love him,,

I saw how optimism is a form of therapy and hope is a form of love.

A healthy looking self-seeded sunflower growing between two slabs, now about 60 cm tall and searching for sunshine.
Couldn't resist snapping this.
I've been playing around with the monochrome setting on my camera rather than taking photos and converting them like I've done in the past.

HARRISBURG, Pa - Governor Tom Wolf will presented twelve members of the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) with Governor’s Awards for Excellence for their work to improve the lives of Pennsylvania’s nearly 800,000 veterans, the fourth largest veteran population in the nation. Ten members of DMVA’s veteran outreach team are being recognized for their dedicated advocacy and networking across the commonwealth. They are: Samantha Cossman of Bellefonte, Centre County; Daniel Dudkiewicz of Ashley, Luzerne County; Chelsea Ellsworth of Fairview, Erie County; Susan Meighen of Washington, Washington County; Erica Lynn Moore of Harrisburg, Dauphin County; Zachariah Pearson formerly of Smethport, McKean County; Zackary Portser of Johnstown, Cambria County; Jennifer Spitler of Thompson, Susquehanna County; James Stafford of Lancaster, Lancaster County; and Craig Swineford of Duncansville, Blair County. Also recognized were Richard C. Hamp of Fostoria, Lebanon County, and Barbara Raymond of Erie, Erie County. Rick Hamp is the special assistant to DMVA’s deputy adjutant general for Veterans Affairs. He is the agency’s key advocate for reducing veteran suicide across the commonwealth. Hamp is Pennsylvania’s lead on the federal Veterans Administration – Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and the Governor’s Challenge to Prevent Suicide Among Service Members, Veterans and Their Families. He works diligently, building strong collaboration between government, non-government, and non-profit partners to help veterans in their communities, including taking the initiative to write grant proposals resulting in over $7 million for programs that help veterans in crisis. Hamp has been instrumental in rolling out several veteran suicide awareness programs and most recently served as a subject-matter expert on the DMVA’s virtual town hall on preventing veteran suicide. Barbara Raymond is the director of DMVA’s Bureau of Veterans Homes. When COVID-19 presented more challenges than ever, Raymond stood out by showing strong leadership, optimism, teamwork, and risk mitigation. Without hesitation, she dedicated more than 18 months to leaving her post as commandant at the Pennsylvania Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Home in Erie, to assist and lead the staff at the Southeastern Veterans’ Center in Philadelphia with its increased clinical demands. In typical fashion, Raymond led by example, boldly tackling problems without losing one ounce of compassion. Raymond developed trust and confidence from residents, families, and staff, and was instrumental in the agency’s COVID-19 mitigation response, vaccine rollout and education efforts. The awards recognize commonwealth employees for exemplary job performance or service that reflects initiative, leadership, innovation, and increased efficiency. The DMVA 12 employees are among 50 award recipients across 12 agencies honored for their exceptional accomplishments in 2021.
