An agreeable house of the postwar years at Diss, Norfolk. In a perfect world there'd be a neighbouring town called Datt. An horizontally emphasized essay in squares and rectangles, and in the contrast between brick and timber. The poles supporting the porch are a nice touch and the chimney is good too. Not so sure about the Vent-Axia fan (probably an addition, to extract niffs from the toilet, or cooking fumes from the kitchen) and ...not that you can blame the owner... wheelie-bins are always unsightly.
I haven't uploaded in a couple of weeks, so here's a photo. My Macbook Pro's SD card slot screwed up, so I had to transfer the photos to mum's laptop, onto a USB and onto my computer. And I've really been too lazy to do that until now.
Isn't optimism great? :)

Sometime over the summer this sign appeared on the gate to the Chelsea Group of Children on Magdalen Road. I like.
I really like the way this shot turned out! I'll take several shots sometimes, and usually my choice for the final upload is simply the first or second shot!
When all else fails, appreciate what you have. Appreciate the sun, appreciate life, appreciate the people in it. Appreciate now! Appreciate the fact that those beautiful roses and oranges are growing in the dead of winter! :]
This is my last official day of being a teenager! Wow! I've accomplished so much in my life already, and I can't wait to see what else awaits me in my journey!

This Beautiful little bird has no feet, she has been feeding from the ground all winter. She copes beautifully, it takes her quite a while to land and balance on branches,
and she cannot feed from conventional perch feeders. This Sweet finch is part of the reason that I always ground feed. She survived a Very harsh winter Beautifully.

Last night I went to bed just after 2 AM (8 PM EST) when the first exit polls gave hope that things really can change.
When I woke up this morning I was anxious, but scared to turn on the TV to see the results. So I took a shower, got dressed, made breakfast and lunch... Then I had to do it and I could really not believe my eyes. This time the American people hád been sensible.
The first 'coloured' President of the United States of America was elected. A very interesting step in American and world history.
Finally after 8 year of Republican scare tactics and mismanagement caused by ignorance I have hope that the world will be a little bit better and a more realistic place within 4 years time.
December, and the gazania is optimistic. In the long run the pessimist may be proved right, but the optimist has a better time on the trip. ~ Daniel L. Reardon
