Drive to Dandabah in the Bunya Mountains and park in the picnic area. The walking tracks can be easily accessed through the picnic area
Take the route signposted for Festoon Falls. The falls will soon be heard and seen. The falls offer a wonderful photo oppurtunity.
Continue on this track to Pine Gorge Lookout, Tim Shea Falls and the Hollow Strangler Fig Tree. It is a 4km circuit track (easy to moderate)
His Majesty the King of Norway came to visit the coastguardvessel I served on last year, and while having the responsibility for serving him and his guests champagne and brandy on the bridge, alone mind you, I also helped setting the tables (if that's what it's called). Took my oppurtunity to take this shot of how the view was like from his chair.
I picked Riverbank State Park for my vantage point and was rewarded with three close flyby oppurtunity and the Shuttle turned on final approach to JFK right over my head. I was jumping and shouting like and 8 Year old: IT FLEW OVER MY HOUSE!
My sister was given the oppurtunity to do some interior design work for one of the homes featured in this year's Homearama.

The Falls at McCormick's Creek State Park. I spent a day in Brown County last fall and a gentleman I had a conversation with suggested this place as a great photo oppurtunity as well. I took a different route home to stop by and check it out. I'm glad I talked to that guy and glad he helped me find this place.
A group made up of students from MBS in Marketing, MSc in Business Management and MSc in E-commerce had the oppurtunity of visiting Shanghai for a week on a trip led by Dr. Theo Lynn. Check out the photos. Next year it could be you on the trip of a lifetime!
Another species - This cicak had a leg and tail weged between an discarded anchor ring and gave me the oppurtunity to get this close up shot. It was able to free itself and fled after this shot. I wonder why it didnt just shed off its tail.

As much as i hate to see caged animals, it is really great to have to oppurtunity to take photos of them. I love animals and i never get tired of snapping photos of them..they are truly magnificent!

A new month and I am 6 months in to my 365. Amazed I have managed this long.
As always no real idea what is going to inpire me or what photo oppurtunities will present themselves this month, we will just have to wait and see.
Millie and Al, came and visited us in Mango Hill from Brissie. Our first house guests since we have moved to Oz. Was a good night. Good food, drink, cheese... Slept well that night.

This racing pigeon landed on our garden wall just outside the back door and it was too good an oppurtunity to miss, so grabbed the camera, chucked on the zoom lens and took a couple of shots. Turned out not to be bothered by our presence at all as callum and nick both started running backwards and forwards through the door and shouting bird lol.

The family and the tree. Our family Bicol adventure after sister Jirah's nuptial. A rare oppurtunity of getting together and capturing blissful moments together in such a wonderful place. We're like the tree behind, still standing firm through the test of time. Our roots are mighty to stand amidst the raging storms of life. With each other's help we will never fall. The leaves would fall, yet it will still bloom on its season. The tree remains undaunted. It will stand beyond time.

I was standing alone in the kitchen cutting strawberries for mom, when a cute idea hit me in the face! I had all supplies needed: a clean table, fresh strawberries, a camera freshly charged and waiting to help, and chocolate (what true chocoholic would live in a house barren of chocolate??), and the most amazing boyfriend to surprise with this pic.
