i had an oppurtunity to go with my roomate to his house for thanksgiving this year since I wasn't able to go home, it was so nice!
I really wanted to do something to do with fashion photography so I decided to make my aim to take photos of people with awesome dress sense. A trip to Eastbourne was the perfect oppurtunity. Thankfully I found this lovely guy at the train station who agreed to let me take his photo. Thank you so much random guy! :D

Best Buddies Friendship Ball 2010 Roaring Twenties at the beautiful Dubsdread Country Club. The mission of Buddies is to establish a global volunteer movement that creates oppurtunities for one-to one freindships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
An annual highlight of Florida's programs it is a favorite for many of the participants. This dance is a prom-like event that is put on by the staff every spring in all five Best Buddies Florida cities for the high school and college programs.

We've had a Dragonfruit Cactus for quite some time now but I've never seen its flower bloom. Thats because it only comes out at night and for one night only. So you can imagine my excitement when I finally catch one in full bloom just an hour before I post this on my flickr account.

Day 2 of our diving adventures began on dive site 777, followed by Tuna Alley. Our first oppurtunity to spear the invasive Lion Fish as well, there are many videos to go with this set of photos. An amazing day, started with a fantastic breakfast cooked on board.
my band teacher would'nt let us play the saxaphone until he explained to us that this was music, and above all we are artists and you gotta appreciate that oppurtunity, that prize that either your parents, your school or even your world has given to you, then i played the saxaphone for the first time in that yellow room, 9 years old, and i've been carrying it around for 21 years, Yeah, he was right on that guy, this is something big.
This winged ant was disturbing my work continuously, and so i had to shoot it. It gave me an oppurtunity to use my new macro filter.
This is a pre-wedding shot. I am going to photograph in their wedding in october, and we met up so I could photograph them for the first time and get to know they better. I am really looking forward to this, it will be the first time I get the oppurtunity to do such a big job!
This was the only oppurtunity to capture the aurora borealis in iceland. This picture was taken in Reykjavik and modified in photoshop in order for the lights to be visible. Better luck next time :-)
Alicia & I jumped on the oppurtunity to have a one-on-one encounter with two tiger cubs at the Wildlife Reserve in St Augustine. It was awesome. We can now scratch that off the "bucket list".
I picked Riverbank State Park for my vantage point and was rewarded with three close flyby oppurtunity and the Shuttle turned on final approach to JFK right over my head. I was jumping and shouting like and 8 Year old: IT FLEW OVER MY HOUSE!

While on my trip to visit Stonehenge, Salisbury is just down the road. So I took the oppurtunity to pay a visit. I would recommend the ecellent park & ride bus serveice, which drtops you right in the heart of the city.

Chinese delegates representing universities in China came to visit Macquarie University. This was a fantastic oppurtunity to learn what sustainable intiatives are being undertaken and to exchange knowledge.

This is my first flower pic, and a macro at that, and I must say it was really exciting to make it! Doing justice to the beauty of the subject is a challenge in itself.. and, the satisfaction that accompanies a good result is what fuels your passion.

Today i tuned 18. I woke up to my living room full of balloons from my parents, then i went to school for a walk-a-thon. Then my best friend ditched me for her ex boyfriend. I went to my house with my friend isa and we picked up my brothers friends and then we all went to the beach for a while. It was fun. We left like 2 hours later because my brother had to do an interview. Then my moms side of the family came over and sang me happy birthday and we just chilled.
I'll be going sky diving next weekend for my birthday though!

As I'm stuck indoors most of the time these days, studying for my big exam next week, I make most of my indoor photo oppurtunities :)
Shot yesterday night at 1:30am at 10' exposure, from the ledge of my bedroom window, holding my camera at an angle (that damn thing isn't straight :-) )
I like how the city lights flood the picture.
Well What can i say..
I'm Ryan McGuire in the green, im 19 and a film enthusiast, studying film at Liverpool Hope university. After passing my first year, Film4 and Flickr allow me this great oppurtunity to progress my passion of film onto my friends and family. After all i've learnt and still have to learn, i do recognise one of cinema's main objectives..to thoroughly entertain, therefore the theme for the night was 'Fun' with film orientated games to spark the interest in film and realise how much influence it can have on us regardless of our level of cinema participation. We had guess the theme music, Total Films Monthly Montage quiz competition..and a round of Sceneit Movie trivial pursuit. Topped of with Pulp Fiction..a film that was produced through playful experimenting with the boundries of cinema..it was a fantastic night and may actually become a monthly occurance.

During the summer of '11 NEiA's Environmental Design class had the oppurtunity to design a wayfinding system for Boston Logan AIrport.
Drive to Dandabah in the Bunya Mountains and park in the picnic area. The walking tracks can be easily accessed through the picnic area
Take the route signposted for Festoon Falls. The falls will soon be heard and seen. The falls offer a wonderful photo oppurtunity.
Continue on this track to Pine Gorge Lookout, Tim Shea Falls and the Hollow Strangler Fig Tree. It is a 4km circuit track (easy to moderate)

This is a picture of a soft target. This picture depicts a woman who is texting outside in the dark. She is oblivious to the person behind her and she would be defenseless if he wanted to attack her. Most people who are texting have no idea what is going on around them which is why texting and driving is so dangerous. Most people think nothing of texting while they are walking outside however this is a great oppurtunity for predators to catch a person off guard. This situation can be prevented by waiting to text people until you are in a safe environment and surrounded by people you know, Also, it would be a good idea to avoid talking on the cell phone if you are walking by yourself at night especially. If you aren't an easy target or soft target, you will then you lessen the chances of being attacked or mugged.--Bryan Cingari
