Also had an oppurtunity to film a lecture given by a member of the forensics team of Sussex Police. Good experience to film and had some oppurtunities to take some stills too.

I had the great oppurtunity to buy 200 grams of Tim Wendelboe´s Espresso yesterday. This coffee won best Espresso in the World Barista Championships 2009. I can´t even describe how good it tastes. But sofisticated is a suiting word.

Drive to Dandabah in the Bunya Mountains and park in the picnic area. The walking tracks can be easily accessed through the picnic area
Take the route signposted for Festoon Falls. The falls will soon be heard and seen. The falls offer a wonderful photo oppurtunity.
Continue on this track to Pine Gorge Lookout, Tim Shea Falls and the Hollow Strangler Fig Tree. It is a 4km circuit track (easy to moderate)

Beautiful Silver Hawk mare, winner and stakes placed multiple producer. She is 1/2 to Kentucky Derby winner Little ET. In foal early to very productive and leading sire Oliver's Twist. This mare is gorgeous and is a producer and has excellent foals with size and confirmation. She has two current runners which are multiple winners and a two year old filly just starting training. An oppurtunity to own a beautiful classic Thoroughbred mare in foal to a graded stakes winner and leading sire.

Alicia & I jumped on the oppurtunity to have a one-on-one encounter with two tiger cubs at the Wildlife Reserve in St Augustine. It was awesome. We can now scratch that off the "bucket list".

In March i finally got the oppurtunity to see and photograph a band i used to listen to as a 15/16 year old, Flood of Red when a friends band supported them. Were great live and good to photograph. shame the venue had terrible lighting and a no flash policy.

I liked this image. Because i captured the tree, but i liked the background with house in it. i enjoyed the colors of the picture. I took the oppurtunity to capture the pictures while the sun was still setting.i used a levels adjustment, contrast and hue and sat for my edits.
As the rest of the country was basking in glorious sunshine last week, I decided to take a trip out to the coast and soak up the rays on the beach and get some shots.
No such luck. Within a half mile of the coast (Spurn Point on the East Yorkshire coast) I was suddenly shrouded in a sea mist, which led for a cold and murky couple of hours by the sea, and very little oppurtunity for any decent photos.

As much as i hate to see caged animals, it is really great to have to oppurtunity to take photos of them. I love animals and i never get tired of snapping photos of them..they are truly magnificent!

Chinese delegates representing universities in China came to visit Macquarie University. This was a fantastic oppurtunity to learn what sustainable intiatives are being undertaken and to exchange knowledge.

The failure of Pruitt Igoe lies in the failure to comprehend, and ultimately understand the complexity that lies in the metabolic nature of the community. Our proposal is inherently communal, based on the integrated process of reviving the pre-existing Pruitt-Igoe Community.
The masterplan is an incremental plan based on a design strategy that allows for adhoc growth over time. Continuity of the urban grid and minimal intervention is desired, whilst not imposing upon the established urban forest.
The memorial park will be established centre north of the site as a non-specific focal point, designed as both a place for internalisation, and a relaxed space for community engagement. This gesture is the catalyst of a renewed direction for the site.
The hierarchy of road types are also established to provide a framework of diverse dwelling types to capture the boundaries of forest and foreseen development. The grid is constructed into Avenues, Main Streets, Laneways and Paths, providing oppurtunity for varied domestic and commercial mercantile opportunities.
The foreseen pattern of growth along these interventions is intended to create micro neighbourhoods, resulting in growth along roads and avenues. The organic mode of growth is intended to attract both a commercial and domestic economy.
Preservation of shared garden spaces for each neighbourhood block explores the notion of Garden Orientated Development, where convenient human amenity is vital. This strategy allows for both private ownership of the dwelling and the shared ownership of common land within the neighbourhood block.
