Bohemian waxwing (Bombycilla garrulus). 12.10.2006, Keminmaa.
Young, obviously male.
In autumn waxwings start to move south from northern forests. In some years they go as far as Italy and southern France. In some years when they find rowanberries throughout winter some may stay here. In this year rowanberries are everywhere throughout whole Finland. Right now they are here, but thrushes have eaten lots of berries away. Anyhow big flocks of waxwings fill the rowanberrytrees and air with their nice voice.

She has a booster seat which she likes to eat in sometimes instead of the high chair. She decided to take off before she was unstrapped...you can see how well it worked out. Oops!
This is an oops picture I took while shoving my camera back in my pocket... but I kinda liked it anyway.
Rainy, rainy day in Waterloo. I guess this guy thought the cop wouldn't stop him in this rain... but he was wrong.
Shot this thru-the-windshield. He managed to stay upright, but this shows you that icy bricks are dangerous.
Turns out this fluffy chicken is a rooster. All this time we thought our Roo was practicing his crow. And today as I was trying to record it and catch it I realized it was actually the fluffy one.
Laid down the Stella on a turn on Mulholland Hwy. Scoot came away with cosmetic damage. I came away with a road rashed knee and sprained wrist. Could have been worse. My boots are trashed!
I had to babysit while the front door got replaced at my mom's house.

Oops.... not quite the full name on the tombstone but this is how I caught this shot ( I did not crop it afterwards ), giving it a slightly ironic feel. That, combined with the spaceman looking thing walking in the background just completed the image for me.
The many faces of Rosie: Little Miss Oops (About the face....she had dropped some sweets, but luckily we have a three second rule - meaning if she picks them up within three seconds, she can still eat them. Whew!)
A dump truck pushed the wrong button while going up the hill in front of my house! What a mess!

The foal was getting pretty excited and pressed his chin down on Sofia's head. To her credit, she doesn't seem to mind and Hadassah backed quickly away from him. Don't think he wanted to butt heads with Sofia but rather rub noses, maybe??

Somebody dropped something overboard on the set.
I hope it wasn't an expensive camera lens. That saltwater will mess it up bad.

A shot of my son after he fell down on the playground. He was okay, and got right up after this and kept on playing, the way kids do.
In no way is this a political statement on the following:
a) the Vancouver 2010 Olympics
b) the Co-operative Auto Network of Vancouver
c) drinking and driving
Unless of course you would like to correlate the images as an observation on the irony of Vancouver's tree hugging philosophies discarded with drunken abandonment toward the over commercialization and capitalization of something as corrupt as the International Olympic Committee.
Or I could just have to much time on my hands. Ya, that's it. Not the former.
