One more image of the clown that entertained his fans outside of Yellowstone National Park.
This picture looks a bit like the bear tripped, but really I'm quite sure he just decided to slide down the hill face first like little kid goes down a slide face first just for the added thrill.

Our Daily Challenge: Don't Forget. Uh, don't forget to focus and change your white balance. Personally, this one is a happy accident.
Unintentionally almost made a pretty pic...can't be having that!

Caught with his hand in the cookie jar!
No, Phil, I'm really not a fibber -- this is the first Raccoon I have EVER seen in this area. Wouldn't you know that the night after I make my comment about your Coon:

that I've never seen one even as road kill around here, one would show up at my feeders.
Granted it was 3:30am and I'm not usually up THAT early. The "Big Guy" (Bear) had already woke me and dogs up at 1:30am and then I couldn't go back to sleep and was messing around on my computer. Dogs start making a ruckus again, so I grab the metal pot and spoon (to chase bear off -- I don't even think of taking any more pictures of him) and peered out the window. I see 2 eyes that are way too close together to be the damn Bear. Sure enough it IS a Raccoon. I just couldn't believe it!!! Now I have to tell the truth, I am MUCH more wary of Coons that might be rabid than I am about the bear. Still, there's NO way, I'm not getting some photographs of this guy!! The flash on my Nikon is like a spotlight, and I was very pleased with some of the following shots, taken in pitch dark -- and no, NOT through the window. I was standing outside on my front door stoop. I made up a little story, since I have been up half the night, already had a whole pot of coffee, and had nothing better to do but play: (Coon talk is in Capital Letters -- my answers, normal type -- thought you might like to know that)
...one of the pics I like the most in this shoot, partially because it was completely unexpected! :)
This photo was an "oops" but for some reason I just love it, so I thought I would post it.
Libby at 2 months.
The best plans sometimes go wrong. What started off as a lemon risotto almost ended up as lemon and finger risotto. Parmesan, a large knife and a unsuspecting finger. Oops. Lucky I'd finished with the lemons, and wasn't cuting chilli.
Common hazard of an ultra-wide (in this case 8mm) lens: if you're not careful, you end up with your feet in the picture!
I was drinking my water bottle, and dropped the cap down to the eating area below. Oops. One guy noticed. He looked up at me and I said "crap." He nodded. Crap indeed.
#90. Jules, Tate and their cousins decorated Easter eggs with their Grammy (my mom) today. I dropped one on it's way to the fridge.
Monster west swells have hit the Big Island as they always do in January. So this float that should normally reside 300 yards offshore now looks like the newest beach bar of Kona. Oops!
