I wanted to take a picture of our Gooey Butter Cake, but it was gone before I even gave my camera a second thought. SO GOOD.
Edited, darkened the interior of the car so you could(sort of) see what happen outside.

Spotted as I pedalled to work. The car was heavily damaged at the back also. Exactly what happened on a straight, relatively wide urban road in benign weather conditions was unclear.
I had one really nice flight with a good landing; unfortunately the camera wasn't rolling for that one. This time the plane got away from me and I ended up nose diving it into the dirt. Oops! Ah well, nothing a little glue and tape won't fix...
Oops. Unlike camming mechanisms such as the rescucender, tooth-based rope grabs do not slip. They unsheath the rope. This is why they should never be used in rescue systems where any shock force is possible.
The Egret had the snake about half swallowed but the snake refused to give up and continued to fight for it's life. Suddenly the egret regurgitated the snake and was unable to grab it. The snake landed in the water and was attempting to swim away to freedom but the Egret was having none of that and plucked the snake from the water. After a few more minutes of the snake trying to resist being the main course for breakfast, the Egret won out in the end. What a great stroke of luck it was to come upon this life and death struggle, Snake struggling for its life and the Egret struggling for a meal. I have one more photo I want to post tomorrow of these two and that will be the end of this little series. Have a great weekend.
I was working on a new project when I had a little accident. I was drilling through a metal electrical box cover when I lost control of things and the sliced me while spinning on the end of the drill bit. Blood was really pouring out and made quite a mess.
This was one of those cases where it's not quite bad enough for the emergency room, but bad enough to be scary. I grabbed an old napkin from the kitchen (sorry A!) to apply pressure to the wound and then elevated it. Surprisingly it didn't take long to control the bleeding. Once I decided I was going to survive, I made a few phone calls to talk through the options. The cut was deep and wide enough to use some stitches and I probably should renew my tetanus shot, but with my short term health insurance with a $1000 deductable, I was open to other options. In the end I went with the do-it-yourself option. A had a prescription to fill at K-Mart so I went with to grab my medical supplies. After a thorough cleaning with water and then rubbing alcohol, I pulled the wound together with butterfly bandages to minimize the size of the scar, covered it with a sterile gauze pad, and then wrapped the whole thing.
I'm such a turd. I steal Will's eyes for BJD faceup photos because they're my favorite. Somehow, I scraped the bottom part of her faceup, so she got a mini makeover yesterday to repair it. I darkened her liner (since I'm positive she's a girl now, lol) and added more top lashes. I don't know why I don't play with her more often, it's not like F16 is my grail or anything >_>.
