Today was okay. Feel like I'm starting to get back on my feet (still coughing lots and deaf in one ear but I can taste things again!). Lovely boss gave me not much work to do with instructions to only do it if I felt up to it. Was pretty interesting stuff so did plod through it with enough time to make a jelly for the children.
Picked the children up after school and ended up having a bit of a showdown over dinner. First of all E decides on a whim that she no longer likes the meatballs she has up until this point loved because, "I don't like what's inside them Mummy" (what's that then, meat??). Then she decides she doesn't want any jelly as she doesn't like the look of it and H to his credit took a mouthful before spitting it out *everywhere* with a disgusted noise. This was just regular jelly btw that you dissolve in water and bung in the fridge. That they've eaten oodles of times before.
Sent them to their bedroom so I could calm down. Thought it was a bit quiet so went in to find E tucked up in her bed still in her school uniform and H as you see above, both of them snoring.

A playground in downtown Moscow, Idaho, has this math tutor built into it. I had a little fun with it, but also had to make it match the "Oops!" category for the Monthly Scavenger Hunt.
Sorry Jake, but our first attempt at brownies from scratch did not work so well. You are gonna be stuck w/ more chocolate chip cookies honey.
If anyone has a good recipe for brownies from scratch I would love it!! I still have friends over in Iraq that I want to bake for. I'm tired of sending cookies!
Here is the boxcar that was left on the port lead track. The BNSF Military train was blocked from entering the port. One of the Port of Beaumont's Rail Operations Managers appeared onsite to assist the crew. It was decided that they would couple up and shove the car up to the port's yard.
