I'm so glad I saw that break in the fence before she did! Chasing pigs by myself is miserable and I hope to never do it again. Ever.
(She is starting to look pregnant, I think.)
The best plans sometimes go wrong. What started off as a lemon risotto almost ended up as lemon and finger risotto. Parmesan, a large knife and a unsuspecting finger. Oops. Lucky I'd finished with the lemons, and wasn't cuting chilli.
Common hazard of an ultra-wide (in this case 8mm) lens: if you're not careful, you end up with your feet in the picture!
I was drinking my water bottle, and dropped the cap down to the eating area below. Oops. One guy noticed. He looked up at me and I said "crap." He nodded. Crap indeed.
Lighting - AB800 with beauty dish. Camera custom white balanced through orange gel. Orange gel then put on light and added 1/8 CTO gel.
Accidentally shifted my Canon 5D to BULB during the shoot. 1 second exposure. Flash fired at end of exposure to freeze the action. I meant to do that. yeah right. ;-)
Sometimes I get really cool pictures by accident.
Monster west swells have hit the Big Island as they always do in January. So this float that should normally reside 300 yards offshore now looks like the newest beach bar of Kona. Oops!
Day 299
Oops! I thought this was my 300th day but it turns out I messed up numbering somewhere in the last week, and it was my 299th day.
So....In the last 299 days of self-portraits, I have begun to do a few things that I hadn't done before, such as:
Participating in Half-Nekkid Thursdays,
Learning how to play with texture,
Learning a bit more about my lighting equipment,
Playing with my hair,
Learning how to clone,
and posing with knee socks!
But I still love to do the things I have always loved as well, such as:
Jumping shots,
Cropping my head off (seems to be something I do a lot),
Letting my daughter Jaymi in my portraits,
Reflection shots,
and posing with my feet in the air.
Edited, darkened the interior of the car so you could(sort of) see what happen outside.

Old Jack burns with hollow eyes,
Laughs at souls where darkness lies.
Wandering man, with flame in hand,
Cursed forever to light the land.
Jack, Jack, light the light,
Keep the spirits off tonight.
Hollow face and candle’s glow,
Guide the lost where they must go.

She lost her grip on the log above and fell into the water. We had great fun watching the bears chasing each other. This was my favorite time though, this bear played in the water by herself for about 20 minutes. It was amazing to see how much fun bears can have. But one look at those claws and teeth reminds me that they are not something to tangle with!!!!
