While waiting for my flight back to Chicago at DFW on 9/17/17, I was taking photos of AA1623 (N989AU) pulling into Alpha 15 from SEA. I put the camera down for just a moment, turned around in time to see the emergency side deploy as the jet bridge was getting into place.
The slide was cut loose after about 30 minutes and the aircraft was back in service the next afternoon.
A wayward GY, numbered 4160, is removed from the down platform at Werribee. This was following the spectacular derailment of a wheat train, which occured there during the early hours of Thursday, the 11th of October, 1979. The signalman, it was rumoured, was in need of a change of underwear, with this vehicle coming to rest against the corner of the signalbox.

Mechanical issues forced the return to ground of this F-86 Sabre flown by the Bremont Horsemen Jet Team.
So I discovered the Kroger group over the weekend, and after a discussion with Joe Architect – who happens to be group moderator – on one of his Kroger photos, he very kindly invited several of my photos to the group – one from almost every Kroger album of mine, to be exact. Well, I figured I'd add all of my Kroger photos: that's what I do with my Target photos anyway, and besides, it's not like they stray from the group's focus (in fact, I prefer to think that he just didn't want to sit there and invite every single photo of mine, so I took it upon myself, lol). Anyway, after I did so I checked out the top contributors... and there I am, at number four, only one hour after joining the group. 😐 ...at least I'm in good company!

Great timing for this week's challenge. A very battered parcel arrived at my home. Fortunately and surprisingly the contents were not damaged.

Someone, who shall remain nameless but loves climbing on furniture, knocked down a snow globe! There were two, so I wonder if her human mom or dad discovered the other and swept up the evidence?
A446 put the rear truck of it's leading unit on the ground. As far as I saw & heard, it wasn't the crews fault.
This little delay held a few trains up around the Neenah Sub for a while.
