This is a shot of my son Dylan kicking for goal 40m out for his local U/18 team this morning.
He plays mainly in the Center or on the Wing so when he floats forward and gets an opportunity to shoot he'll take it. This was the "OOPS!" moment where the opposition were a tad close and touched the ball (the oval yellow blurry thingy) . It sailed through the middle but since it was touched it scored a single point ,not the full 6 points. He ended up kicking 1 goal 3 points and had a pretty solid day. The team won.
SOOC this image looked a little too flat shot @200mm, so I layered an HDR processed file with it and erased the top layer over any high grain areas (the sky and blacks in the uniforms). It helped to bring out some shadow detail in the players particularly.
Update
In the AFL, Collingwood won against StKilda pretty convincingly (again..hehehe) , the game only finished 30mins ago. GO PIES!! :)
Unlike his brother Luan, my Maine Coon Paddy is not really fond of insects. His attitude towards most insects is somehow indifferent but he really hates spiders ! Six legs might be quite okay but eight are definitely suspicious ! The picture is one of my creations (of course) because in real life Paddy would have disappeared like greased lightning !
