Today's story and sketch "by me" we have a sad tale about Jeffery Gofish
who is just gliding onto his front yard piloting his B&R Citroslither Sport Coupe,
he is returning from a visit to see his Mum Satchi for a few days, she lives in
the retirement division, at the Flip Flop Resort, it is for those who don't need
24 hour supervision or solitary incarceration,
and can still function at over 600 years of age, and Satchi does quite well,
she is the most popular Cocktail Waitress at the Bongo Club,
the not always nice, but yet not quite maximum security section at the Prison Resort.
She sends Jeffery her tips every week, and that is where we get to the "OOPS"
in today's tale. Jeffery loves his elegant Mission Viejo Home and has spent a small fortune,
Mostly his mothers tip money, and had the nicest landscaping on his street,
Until today. He just arrived to see he has no yard, no shrubbery or trees,
and you see Bavinoid Kagler, of Kagler Landscape and Sprinkler
company on the Marscat Excavator, the demo started yesterday, when Bavinoid got a
work order to remove all of the Botanicals, (Trees and Bushes),
at 309 North Tiera DeNice'O street which is six blocks north of Jeffery's
309 South Tiera DeNice'O. I will return for more on Jeffery's landscape troubles,
his Mom Satchi's return to Earth on a one week family emergency prison release,
till then taa ta the Rod Blog.
Salticidae Opisthoncus quadratarius from Nick Bedelis, Warriewood, Northern Beaches, Sydney NOT MANDIBULARIS -- SORRY!)
Had 2 images of the same bird, so I put them together - instead of posting them 1 and 1 ... far from perfect, but looks kinda funny :P
A Pied Oyster Catcher getting barrel rolled by a misjudged wave. This little bird was a bit clumsy. He got rattled by this wave and fell off the little sand bank he was feeding around twice when the side collapsed. Perhaps he had a big night with his mate the Sooty Oyster Catcher who is just out of the frame. Party on boys!

Here at the hotel, breakfast is officially until 9am. Generally, landlord, Iain, will go to 9:30am. As a regular guest, if they are quiet, he'll let me have breakfast at 10am as the latest, so I can have a lay-in at the weekend.
It generally takes me just over an hour to shower, dress & do make-up. Woke up this morning before the alarm. Went to the toilet, then snuggled down in bed again. Had a look at the time before dozing off again.
9:20am?!?!?!?
WHAT?!?!?!?
I'd set the alarm for 9:45am instead of 8:45am!
"OOPS" indeed!
Very quick shower, dressed, make-up and just enough time for a few photos before rushing down to breakfast at exactly 10am!
Not looking too bad considering!
Supersampler + Fuji Reala 100.
Taken with my lovely, if somewhat idiosyncratic Supersampler - 4 lenses take 4 shots onto 1 negative over 2 seconds. Completely plastic, no control whatsoever and no viewfinder - you just wave it about and hope for the best - these days, I've even learned to point it at things and keep it still! ;)
Never leave your racing scull on the ground when flooding is expected on the river. It was one way to test for water tightness, though.
there were cars parked in front of it. so i stood at the end of the sidewalk and shot portions of it vertically. i tried putting it together using autostitch, but realized there was a gap. i used photoshop to finish the job.
Hull Train's Adelante 180111 speeds South at Bawtry with 1A92. In the foreground and beneath stands flood waters and a stranded BMW!
The driver of this vehicle obviously knew better than the people who placed signs advising the road was closed.....well right up until the point where the car gave up the ghost!! Now it's time to stamp one's feet and spit the dummy out (everyone else's fault)...
