Another meal for this Cormorant ! After a couple of minutes of maneuvering he did manage to swallow this poor fish !

... just about lost my lens cap down 'the hatch' ~ ha ! What actually went down is one of the fallen 'flowers' off of our dogwood tree.
We had a delivery today … more knitting wool for me … and the chap who delivered it had a crisis in his car when leaving … several of the Hermes packs he was due to deliver tumbled over onto him in the driving seat and he 'bumped' into our fence, thus damaging not only our fence, but his car, poor man! By heck, it was a mighty crunch and the car was absolutely stuffed with packages still to be delivered!
Anyway, we gave him cup of tea and waited for the rescue to come.
Now we've just got to repair the fence! 😂
Mind you, I'm quite pleased with my wool! 😁

Wow, This doesn't look good. Why did I do this. Drove a ledge road to get here, now I have to drive another ledge road to get of here. This is scary.
Everything I said in the paragraph is a lie. This is the top of Imogene Pass (13,114 feet) and I have done it many times. It is a very beautiful road, and does have ledges and some rough spots on it, and if you have some experience driving offroad, it is worth the drive.
The road to the right goes to Telluride and the one to the left goes to Ouray. There is great overlook down to the left and to the right. I usually drive it from Telluride to Ouray. If you ever do it, drive defensively so you don't get caught with someone putting you in a tight spot.
I dropped my iPod about a week ago, leaving a series of long cracks in one corner. Instead of getting it fixed straight away, I left it. The cracks slowly grew to encompass much of the screen, and air bubbles got underneath and ruined the whole show.
To top it off the body was slightly curved and dented through previous use. Figured it would be amount as much to fixed it as get another used one, so I snapped it in half to see what was inside.
Turns out, really not a lot. Tiny battery, tiny circuit board.

What happens when you do not regularly harvest your lone arugula plant. These tiny flowers, by the way have a sensationally spicy taste and are now added in our salads.

Well, Sally officially became a Cat Hill Farm cat today.
I packed up the car this morning, and by mid-afternoon we were back at the farm. She handled the 2 hr. car ride like a champ, with just a little crying when I first put her in the carrier.
I've set up a hospitality cage in my livingroom. Floydd rushed her aggressively, and she hissed and growled, which freaked him out....he has retreated to the 2nd floor. Simon has checked her out through the cage but is more interested in the fact that she has yummy smelling food in there. I had to move the bowl to the center of the cage because he was fishing it out from between the bars!
Leo is pointedly ignoring her, and if Stella has noticed her she's not letting on yet.
Sally isn't too enamored with the idea of being locked into a cage, even though it's big enough to fit her bed, food and at the other end her litterbox.
She's safe in there when I'm not in the room. She is happier laying on a blanket on top of the cage when I'm sitting close by. From her vantage point there she can pretty much see all the comings and goings, and none of the other cats can sneak up on her.
I think she's going to get on fine.

Young Burrowing Owls are very playful near the nest. These two had been skirmishing on the ground before the one on the left rolled over. It laid on its back for several seconds looking a little perplexed. Or perhaps it was just intrigued by the new perspective. Attempting to get back up it rocked forward then fell back down. Finally, on the second try it rocked far enough to right itself again. May 8, 2016
I went outside to see if I could brush off my shoes from yesterday’s muddy oops incident when I reencountered the tipped over furniture. We have had some blustery days the past few days including a few tornado warnings on Thursday night. The deck furniture tipped over then. Since today is another blustery day, I’ll leave it as is.
