I loved these girls! What great characters... and I LOVED how they got right up in my face! Of course, since I had my zoom lens, I had to back up, couldn't get a good focus, and in the meantime ended up snapping with Drizella or Anastasia out of frame before I completely lost my opportunity. lol. They were great though!
Congratulations Girls!!! You Explored on Flickr!! 12/30/08

I thought this piece from the Pencil Cafe was a stencil....then I found the little orange thing on my desk with no idea where it came from. Turns out it's a Spirograph! Lol. Thanks Ronda : )
Ouzo pretending he dropped the ball on the floor by accident. Only the 10th time in a row. He is quite a master at looking pathetic and hurt when he wants to.
This is one of his favorite games - to push his toys (usually balls) down from the couch or bed, then look longing at it, expecting the humans to go and collect the object. So he can throw it again ;)
I chose this image because it's different from the rest of my submissions to the group this year, plus I was playing with two of my toys - the speedlite which doesn't see enough light (ha!) and a manual M42 28mm lens. I am usually frustrated with the poor focus when I use the flash indoors, so this time I eliminated any guess work from the auto-focus by using a manual focus lens - and it worked pretty darn well! I even used it in manual mode, to better control the exposure. I still don't understand my flash as much as I would like to, but we're making steady progress ;)
