We subscribe to a local CSA box and last week I added a flower share to our box to help local flower growers. So many of the tulips are being left in the fields to die. It is now the best part of our weekly box, bringing me joy several times a day.
We don't presently have any sn@# (I'm not complaining) but, it will come. This was quite the setup, including studio lights, Christmas lights, ornaments, etc. Obtaining these trees required an Herculean effort on their own. lol The reindeer were a bonus.

We tend to celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied ad multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.
We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. These passions, like great winds, have blown us across the globe in search of the one and we do understand the one we do look for might be this picture right here for someone else out there.

Gray-Nicholls is one of those names that people associated with cricket around the world would recognize. The bat is my friend's, the sun hat, I got from the site in Texas. The side of the bat that is visible is NOT the striking side.

Here you see a summer view of Lake Whatever, our getaway destination. Just to show you how cold it is in Canada, That's ice on the lake, and this IS October. (read further for a full explanation.) Of course, we don't have a cottage (except for cheese), and Lake Whatever is, Whatever! Its currently 20C outside (around 72F) and the photo was taken last winter in Port Stanley. FYI, I have always loved Poe. A troubled, but, highly creative man. The elephant lighter, is from a bunch of political cigarette lighters from the 50s or 60s. Not sure. He's wearing a necklace that says "GOP". lol I have a jackass lighter with the Democrat name as well. Two, actually. lol I don't smoke, but, I threw that pipe in their anyway. I had great difficulty trying to light the darn thing. Almost threw up. Never could keep it lit. lol The glasses were my Pappy's (great-grandfather), and the mug is from my daughter. The pens were my grandfather Herb's, and the book I bought at an antique store.
C'mon, man, you see her, dontcha? She's winking at me. I know she is. You see it, right? I'm not crazy. My mother had me tested.
