Crazy Tuesday Theme: Overdose #7DWF
• For tomorrows theme in the group 7 Days With Flickr ! I might be busy and just don't want to pass this one :) Love this group so much
Ok, pretty much everything in this photo is fake, with the exception of the wood, and the 'chalice'. Fake acorns (not a good idea to store ones you've collected, I learned the hard way lol), fake flowers, fake shadows (well, enhanced shadows, so I suppose they are still fake lol), fake photographer (I feel like such a fraud sometimes). I actually planned this shot for weeks (I may not be fast, but, I sure am slow), and some of you are thinkin' "Sheesh, he sure wasted the last few weeks. lol I like the earthy tones in this shot, and I also like the way the autumn light accentuates the earth tones.I have been fascinated by acorns since grade two. It's a long story. lol
This is from a series of test shots I took the last week whilst home with the COVID. I decided to wait till everyone else had had it first, before I gave it a try. SMH Fortunately, my worst symptoms were headaches and loss of taste. If I hadn't tested, I wouldn't have known I was sick. I have more plans for this group of props, plus some others I have been collecting. Maybe even a story to go along. Oh, the image, and the handwriting in the journal are by one of my students. I paid her $20 Canadian to copy three of my poems and add some artwork. She's the daughter of one of my very first students from way back. I'll be heading back to work on Tuesday, with about 7 more teaching days left in the school year. Some of you may recognize the poem in the journal. I've used it before.
Well, there are still a lot of pictures I took in Norway.
But: a) it's spring and b) it's spring
and I wanted to show something different.
There will be a time for more snowy pictures but not right now.
I haven't put a photo into Sliders Sunday group forever, so I thought I would do one this week.
This is a heavily processed fun shot of a flower which broke off the big bouquet on my kitchen table. So I floated it in a blue bowl.
HSS everyone!
Macro-Mondays-Pens, Pencils, Erasers & Paper Clips
These delicious looking sweet treats are all erasers. The Lalaloopsies love them!
Coincidence or not? The other day while I was drinking coffee ...
My boy went for a car "driving" just a corner or two on MY coffee table .. grrrr
And then, this Ladybug was lurking at him .
Strangest thing, I'm telling you ;) :) :D LOL
Then, one of these is for you. I borrowed the soup mug, but, the smilie faces are mine. lol I have a few more of these to share.
Today the Serbs and the Serbian Orthodox church celebrate Badnji dan (Christmas Eve)! The name "Badnji dan" comes after "badnjak", a log that is brought into the house and placed on the fire on the evening of Christmas Eve. The felling, preparation, bringing in, and laying on the fire, are surrounded by elaborate rituals, with many regional variations. The tree from which the log is cut is preferably a young and straight oak, the tree that has always been sacred to Slavs. The burning of the log is accompanied by prayers that the coming year brings food, happiness, love, luck, and riches. The Serbs have inherited those customs from their ancestors and we keep them to the present day.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVE!!
Srećan Badnji dan ! <3
P.S: Haven't I told you I love holidays !!! :)

Baby Thor leans on the family Thor for thupport. After all, even a hammer is only as strong as his family. I hope my hammer shots have been a hit with you all. And, I hope you all could handle them.
Ok, this photo is the response to the previous photo and the story there. So for all my fans who wanted to know what happened... (both of you lol) Here's the response
You See Him Again
She sees him sitting there again
He’s trying not to look
She gives a little chuckle
Then turns back to her book
She wonders what he’s thinking
Does he live in the neighbourhood
She’d daren’t risk a meeting
She’d greet him if she could
Again his eyes are on her
But he shyly looks away
When she glances toward him
She’s gotta leave, she can’t stay
In just a couple hours
Her plane is on its way
And she will never pass this way again
No, she will never pass this way again
For the briefest of moments
As she stands outside the door
She hesitates, she looks back
But her heart remains unsure
She has a date with someone else
On the banks of the river Seine
She smiles again, deciding
That she must be insane.
ODC-Christmas Eve
Well, it's Christmas Day Eve and we finished celebrating the 8 Days Of Chanukah this evening. I lit the last candle and they have since burnt down. It's a lovely and one of my favourite traditions to celebrate each year.
Well, yeah, spring is coming soon. But, I meant the Fiddler Pentalogy. Coming very soon. I have decided to start with the first poem, and proceed every few days with the next, in order. Prepare for massive disappointment. (Gotta undersell, so it doesn't look so bad when you finally see it. lol) First instalment in a few days. Oh, and for anyone who may still care, I should be continuing the Covered Bridge narrative from last year. We're hoping to be down east again this summer, so I will be searching out as many covered bridges as I am able.
Without a king, there are no pawns. In the absence of peons, there be no kings. There's actually a broad linguistic connexion between 'pawn', and 'peon'. Either way you spell it, they're still the guy who gets killed first in battle.
