I would like to make it clear that I have bought
this tablecloth with its simple repeating pattern
of dark purple blooms not named by any botanist
because it reminds me of that printed dress you had
the summer we met - a dress you have always said
I never told you I liked. Well I did, you know. I did.
I liked it a lot, whether you were inside it or not.
How did it slip so quietly out of our life?
I hate - I really hate - to think of some other bum
swinging those heavy flower-heads left to right.
I hate even more to think of it mouldering on a tip
or torn to shreds - a piece here wiping a dipstick,
a piece there tied round a crack in a lead pipe.
It's all a long time ago now, darling, a long time,
but tonight just like our first night here I am
With my head light in my hands and my glass full
staring at the big drowsy petals until they start to swim,
loving them but wishing to lift them aside, unbutton them,
tear them, even, if that's what it takes to get through
to the beautiful, moon-white, warm, wanting skin of you.

Dunno why, but, I like this a one. You'll notice the name Jack Purcell on a couple of the rackets. A fascinating guy-badminton champion, sportswriter, shoe designer, stock broker, etc. In fact, he designed the original Jack Purcell line of tennis, later badminton shoes for PF Flyers, later sold to Converse. The Jack Purcell line is still sold today by Converse, and many of the different styles Of Jack Purcells, contain the signature blue toe smile. These rackets are beautiful works of art, sturdy, sexy, extremely well balanced, and very lightweight for the time period.

☆ Ζεστοί Λαχανοντολμάδες με κιμά .… για να ενωθούν τα αρώματα.
☆ Γεμιστή χωριάτικη κοτούλα με μελωμένες πατάτες στην γάστρα και η γέμιση με σταφίδες, μήλο, κουκουνάρι, καρύδι , κάστανο & συκωτάκια πουλιών.
☆ Μελωμένες πατάτες στην γάστρα αρωματισμένες με πορτοκάλι για να συνοδεύσουν την χωριάτικη κοτούλα … Μια σχέση πάθους.
☆ Τηγανιά σβησμένη με λευκό κρασί και αρωματισμένα βότανα .
Τελικά έχουν δίκιο τα όμορφα και νόστιμα βρίσκονται στα πιο απλά πράγματα ...!!!

This is a music CD "PLAYSONGS" by Valentine Quartet from Danmark.
It's filled with very comfortable jazz songs and the moment that I listened to the CD, I fell in love with tunes inside it.
I put tunes into my PowerBook, iPod, iPod Shuffle and car audio set and listen them all the time.
By the way, do you remember the picture on this CD?

There is something I find alluring in dying flowers. I'm not obsessed with death, in any way shape or form. I just find the flowers still possess their beauty, even in death, and decay. The colours have more meaning. It's like they're fighting to keep relevant, to, not become obsolete. I arranged the flowers (cut shorter) from the previous pictures, in a circular pattern on the bistro table in my backyard, then added 4 freshly cut blossoms from around the house. Can anyone name the 4 flowers in the centre?
I didn't have enough time to snap a quick portrait today so here's a chocolate-poke-cake we made earlier as a substitute(topped with edible rose petals)!!
Plus that melted icing looks like liquid gold.

We celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied and multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.
We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. These passions, like great winds, have blown us across the globe in search of the one and we do understand the one we do look for might be this picture right here for someone else out there.

Our Daily Challenge - On The Table - 7/18/12
Now & then I like to use some Instax, too. I love the colour of this film and the contrasts it can produce, I love its stability... but I hate the bulkiness and the poor maneuverability of the camera.
