The sun slips down behind the hills as Ontario Northland GP9 1601 kicks cars around the yard in Englehart. As tired as we were after a full day of chasing, it was hard to pass up the sunset and the sound of the old EMD working the yard.
ONR train far from home operating westbound through Scotch Block on the Halton Sub. The train was heading to Port Colborne to participate in a movie shoot for the Handmaids Tale on Netflix
A later than usual CN 372 passes through Dorval with CN 2320 and CN 5689 at the head end and CN 8935 as the DPU during a brief sunny spell. There were three ONR boxcars ahead of the DPU, quite rare in Quebec.

516, the Ontario Northland's Hearst-to-Kapuskasing-and-return (as 515) train shuffles empty phosphate hoppers around in the yard in Hearst on this early morning.
The hoppers are loaded at the mine at Agrium, near Kapuskasing, and make up a substantial majority of the traffic on this branch of the ONR, as well as the northern end of CN's ACR (passing southbound CN 572 at Oba later on in the day, it had a single boxcar and about 40 loaded phosphate hoppers.)
