This was supposed to be the September shot but it was a crazy, eventful month. I'm usually pretty on top of these things but I just woke up in October with no picture.

So, I'm cheating a bit here. It's September in October.

This came at a time when I was actually asking myself why we keep track of time so rigorously. Isn't the sun setting and rising and aren't seasons coming and going enough of a progression?

Yeah, that was the question occupying my mind the day I was supposed to plan my shot for October.

'Dizzy' On Black I don't mind driving in ice or snow. However, I hate driving when it blows across the road in my direction - it makes me dizzy....This storm blew thru Laramie, Wyoming so I stopped ...

It's almost here!! The next season is finally just around the corner. Cherry blossom found in Istanbul blooming along one of the main streets. Temperature outside was about 8c (46F) at time. May your spring time bring you happiness and lots of opportunities to get out and take photos.

We've been celebrating the St-Jean-Baptiste with renewed interest this year. We're proud of our origins.

MORE OF MT. SHASTA

Taken from I-5 North in Dunsmuir, California. Mt. Shasta is the second most southerly mountain in the Cascade Range and acts like a divide between northeastern and northwestern California. Snowcapped Mt. Shasta stands 14,162 feet in elevation, alone and massive in size, isolating itself from the rugged peaks that surround it.

I FOUND THIS PHOTOWHILE I WAS CHECKING MY OLD PHOTOS AND I WANTED TO SHARE YOU TO WARM YOUR HEART IN THIS COLD WINTER. ENJOY WARM COLOR MY FRIENDS AND WHO WANNA BE MY FRIEND IN THE FUTURE ;)

This Snowy Egret was waiting for a handout at the baitshop this morning!

There's something special about the Pacific Ocean. We felt its call and spontaneously decided to go to Cannon Beach for a day.

It was a lot of fun.

Except for the traffic on the way back.

This is an early Christmas-themed shot. This is also the very late shot for the month of November.

No excuse, I just forgot. It slipped my mind. I did do some late postings before but always for good reasons (mostly because of vacations). Not this time. I just happened to wonder today if I had posted the November shot. I hadn't, obviously.

Thankfully, I did have a few spare shots from November that were waiting there to foot the bill.

On Interstate 94 in Southern Wisconsin between Madison and WI Dells. I just couldn't resist this one!

Not much to say about this one except that I went for a safe, classic setup.

I have been trying to get a shot of this guy forever. For such a large bird, he can take off very quickly! I think maybe he felt a little guilty for dissing me so many times and decided to let me have a go at him! LOL Have a great weekend everyone!

I really am too sick.

Too sick to have a good idea and the energy to pull it off. I was walking with a cold all week and now, my sinuses are starting to hurt (especially above my left eyebrow). It's not enough to keep me from working but it's enough to keep me from doing more than the bare minimum (i.e. a great 52 weeks shot). I should be better next week...or so I hope!

We are home and enjoying some peace and quiet we don’t find on the road. When I leave in a few days, I will be taking my sister on the road which will be a tremendous transition for me. Dave is fine but needs to be home for about 3 weeks, I will miss him dearly. Thanks for everything, you always make my day, god bless, Deb.

If you're not sure, I'm telling you: this is a kangaroo.

It's been a long time since my last post for this project and, while I'm not as active as I used to be on flickr, I should still tell you some parts of the story.

This had been in preparation for months, we relocated to San Francisco as part of my personal quest for a job that contributes to making this world a slightly better place. Now that I've started work, I realized that, in addition to the great feeling of working on something I deeply care about, I've also been introduced to a bunch of the most talented, smart and friendliest people I've ever met (not to dismiss all the people I've encountered in my life. You're reading this and you're great, really).

To come back to the story of my excuse for the late posting, we've been moving out of our home in Montreal, living temporarely at the best parent-in-law's house and then proceeding on hoping from one vacation rental to the other while we were looking for a permanent rental. As I write this, I've just plugged in my computer for the first time in almost 2 months.

I took out my old dusty D40 for this (it really is small when you think of it). The best part though is that I haven't missed my project's commitment: this post is actually a picture taken during the month of March. I just can't let myself down and not meet my commitments, I've got much more ahead of me and that dedication is a good thing, right?

This was shot during the Magic of Lanterns event at the Montreal Botanical Garden.

I can't say this was a fantastic night. It was freezing and the lineup was crazy to get in and we could follow the line in front of us to visit once inside. I'll consider this a lesson learned, next time we'll try to go on a business day evening and definitely not on a saturday.

That said, the displays were amazing so it's not a surprise that so many people are going.

Little girls can be angels one day and little devils the next.

Sometimes we adore the little angels. Sometimes we wish they would have play the devil a little bit and do what their hearths scream for.

Fine, the latter is of rarer occurence. Still, sometimes it's good to let the angels put on their horns and shake things up. It can't always be easy.
