This place definitely has memories.......................check out the broken windmill and the collapsed shed(?) in front of the barn. There are two other buildings and a farmhouse here so it must have been a large farm at one time.

Cumhuriyet Square (or Cumhuriyet Meydanı in Turkish, meaning Republic Square) is one of the main urban squares of İzmir, Turkey, located between the neighbourhoods of Alsancak and Çankaya in the Konak district. It is a coastal square at the port of İzmir, very close to Pasaport Quay along the shoreline of the Aegean Sea. It is one of the most popular urban squares of İzmir for public gatherings.
The monument at the center of the square, which features an equestrian statue of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, is made of marble and bronze.
This was taken on the beach on Lake Superior when the temp was one below zero, which was a bit brisk. It's been pretty "warm" this week though with temps in the low 40's!
IT IS A NICE LIGHT COMBINATION TOGETHER WITH NATURAL LIGHT AND SPEEDLIGHT. ENJOY THE MOOD I CREATED.
Not easy sneaking up on these six legged, winged wonders of the sky. They tend to 'fly' away at the smallest of movements or noise.
This beautiful snowy egret acted more like a cat in the way that it just sat there and groomed itself. Every few minutes it would sit still and then all of a sudden it would puff its feathers out and start picking at its feathers with its beak! I am glad I don't do that! Ha!
Focus was solely on the anther atop the staminal column of a Hibiscus flower that was discharging its pollen. Final product is a result of photo stacking which included 24 individual photos focusing only on the anther in 0.5mm slices.
Captured these cactus flowers growing along side the road from Moron back to Rota earlier this afternoon.

I thought this looked funny. Its feathers spread out and went up and then it bent over. I recomposed while it was doing this about 4 or 5 times before I was able to get this shot! I hope ya'll like it! Mike

We are home and enjoying some peace and quiet we don’t find on the road. When I leave in a few days, I will be taking my sister on the road which will be a tremendous transition for me. Dave is fine but needs to be home for about 3 weeks, I will miss him dearly. Thanks for everything, you always make my day, god bless, Deb.
