Found along Crete's north shore where a blend of green vegetation, baked brown soil and the blue Mediterranean come together. Hope everyone of Flickr has a wonderful weekend!
Wizard Island of Crater Lake - Oregon. Crater Lake is located in Southern Oregon on the crest of the Cascade Mountain range, 100 miles east of the Pacific Ocean. It lies inside a caldera, or volcanic basin, created when the 12,000 foot high Mount Mazama collapsed 7,700 years ago following a large eruption.
Generous amounts of winter snow, averaging 533 inches per year, supply the lake with water. There are no inlets or outlets to the lake. Crater Lake, at 1,943 feet deep, is the seventh deepest lake in the world and the deepest in the United States.

It is in Jungfrau German word which means virgin. I'm overlooking the Konkordiaplatz, the famous Aletsch Glacier starts on your right hand side straight down the waley, it is just inexplicable the feeling you get in front of such an amazing masterpiece made by The Mother Nature

Vatican City and St. Peter's Basilica shot from atop Castel Sant'Angelo. Absolutely wonderful view of Rome from atop the Castel Sant'Angelo and amazingly the administration at the Castel was free Saturday night when we were there.

Taken at Little Sand Bay just outside of Bayfield, WI. Little Sand Bay is part of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore and is located at the northern tip of Wisconsin and serves as the gateway to the Apostle Islands on Lake Superior.
Or at least that's what is on the tag on the post to the right center of the photo. Menu is also almost readable from this angle. In the RAW file it's clear and tack sharp with 3:1 zoom. Not sure if you will be able to see it clearly when opening up the original through flickr (i.e. right click on the photo and select original). (Note as of April 2014.... Since Flickr changed to the "New Experience" format, you no longer have the capability to do this function for right clicking and selecting the original size. You can however still do this if you change to any other language than English :(.... Bad flickr bad). Shot with my old Nikon nifty fifty. Still sharp as ever. Shot is simply street restaurants & shops along Akbiyk Cd - Istanbul.
Modern day dinosaur that flourished on the planet not long ago. Darwin's evolutionary theory at play here as these human size electronic chatting cages were replaced by an object you can now fit in your pocket. I miss the good old days when phone conversations were private. Obligatory photo from visiting London this past week. :-)
This roof makes me think of another use for Duct Tape! LOL I definitely do not see any hope for this poor old barn, except as good subject matter for "barn freaks" like me! Enjoy your Sunday!
