Bigger than you think: 125 meters wide x 324 meters tall. In other words you could play a regulation American football game under the Eiffel Tower with plenty of room to spare. p.s. it was 669 steps to the second deck and only cost 5 Euro for the pleasure. Sorry, lost count of the number of flights of stairs :)

With Stadtkirche St. Dionysius in the background.

While wandering around looking for the "magical fountain" in Barcelona we stumbled upon this one at the intersection of Passeig de Gràcia and GranVia de les Corts Catalances. Too many people at and around the magical fountain to get a good capture so we settled for this one.

Wizard Island of Crater Lake - Oregon. Crater Lake is located in Southern Oregon on the crest of the Cascade Mountain range, 100 miles east of the Pacific Ocean. It lies inside a caldera, or volcanic basin, created when the 12,000 foot high Mount Mazama collapsed 7,700 years ago following a large eruption.

Generous amounts of winter snow, averaging 533 inches per year, supply the lake with water. There are no inlets or outlets to the lake. Crater Lake, at 1,943 feet deep, is the seventh deepest lake in the world and the deepest in the United States.
