This is the same stone house I uploaded in a B&W processed style. Previous one on my photostream was taken at a different time of year, different time of day & quite far away using a telephoto lens. With a little more knowledge under my belt & some bravery tucked in my back pocket, I grabbed my courage, my tripod, my camera & headed straight for it. I was itching to go inside & experience whatever await me within the walls. My initial plan was to capture some really good shots & create some hdr photography work. I had all I needed with me, my lenses, my camera, my tripod....ready to go, right? Nope! After all that & my long walk out to this big ol' beautiful house, I forgot one tiny important detail.....the attachment piece for the camera to the tripod. Haha! Made the best of it anyways, took some shots, kinda documented the whole house, snapping shots of every room inside. Tried to capture the essence of the era so to speak. Had a lot of fun, got some practice & the sky was a ridiculously pristine blue this day. Ftr, the sky is completely unedited. =) Did a little research & this house dates back to the 1880's, which in those times still used tin ceilings (which this house had in one of it's rooms) in some rooms, also refered to as the "fifth wall". I found that quite interesting. I believe this house was more than likely the home of a well to do family, as it had 8 good sized rooms, 2 stories, a basement & an addition to the back of the house.. Framework inside was of high standard for that era as well. Just thought I'd throw in a little history along with my photo & "share" what I've learned. =)

One day I shall burn this old stump. Untill now I have´nt done it because of its beautiful figure, At night it looks like a mini dinosaurus.

No work today and I will be meeting with a friend, so I thought to post some older photos of mine. I took these a few years ago when I was still working as a bartender at the hotel. I was just beginning to develop an interest in this style of fashion so I would mix and match parts of my uniform to make different, more formal outfits. I enjoy trying new looks and this was very fun for me as I began to experiment with this style.

There's an amusing story behind this photo.. i spotted this woman and asked for a photo, she agreed and i took a few shots. Then she grabbed my hand, whipped out a henna tube and started doing mendhi all over my hand and arm! (and it wasn't one of the beautiful, skilled designs you can get!) After she finished i said thankyou and offered her a tip, which she refused. She then took me by the hand (again) and lead me and my friend to a shop down the road where she gestured to a bag of chappati flour she wanted us to buy for her! at a few hundred rupees it was only a few pounds for us and we bought it for her. I think this photo was worth it in the end! :)

This is old. It's actually one of the very last pictures I took on my camera before it broke. But I'll get it fixed soon.

I've been trying out the film Leica. Which I love! It's so much fun. I have one picture left on my first film and then it's the moment of truth...will any of them turn out good?

Was going to put a link up to Bruce Springsteen's Pink Cadillac (as that was what I was singing as I was editing this) but then I thought maybe it's not a Cadillac, maybe it's a Chevrolet or some other kind of car... Anyway whatever kind of car it is it was cool and I had fun editing it!

This is the first time in months that I've went out specifically to find something to photograph for myself and came across all these old rusted cars so expect more pics soon!
