I've passed this pump dozens of times a year, in all seasons, for decades. This past weekend, I finally stopped to take a picture.

This was taken up along the Little Blackfoot River, which is between Helena and Elliston. Processing was done with Photomatix, and is a tone mapped HDR from 3 shots taken in 1-stop increments.

Taken in my friend Kat's apartment, this is me shooting with a f/1.8 lens for the first time. So much fun.

The Beach

An expanse of fine golden sand, backed by dunes and the renowned striped cliffs of Hunstanton.

The beach slopes gently into the sea which makes it safe for watersports and ideal for families.

Obviously somewhere this good is going to be popular and this beach is definitely popular. That said, even during the height of summer, there is still plenty of space for everyone to spread out and enjoy themselves.

Old woman from mountain villiage in Thua Thien Hue mountain village.

This village survived by selling drinks, snacks and trinkets to travellers passing through on the way to Hue. This woman kindly posed for a photo for me.

Was taken at a farm in Italia.

In reality it was a really magic place but my camera destroyed it.

Gamla Stan, Stockholm's original city center and built on Stadsholmen. Old Town was the actual town for several hundred years. The city was founded in the 1200s. Old Town was long the city as opposed to the more rural surroundings, boroughs, Norrmalm, Södermalm and Östermalm.

When I was last at the old Olive Mount site, there was some fella who I thought was security but was just there walking his dog (it’s dead popular for that) so I vowed that I would go back and today was as good an opportunity as any. This photo, taken of part of the old Millstead School (before it moved to Everton, hence the title) looks as if it was taken in the morning but it was actually taken after four in the afternoon. To some people, this place would give them the absolute fucking willies but, back in December 1990/January 1991, I was mooching around the old Love Lane depot that North Western had just vacated so nothing bothers me.

The old homes on the steep hillside close to Chongqing's Railway Station survived well into the 90s before redevelopment. Photograph taken in 1995.

The League 1 playoff final between Huddersfield Town and Peterborough United took place at Old Trafford in Manchester. Huddersfield gave each of their 35,000 fans a free tshirt stating "Believe" on the front before the game, arranged to form the blue and white stripes that you can see on the right of stand in the picture.

Huddersfield lost the game 3-0 after holding the majority of possession but failing to convert their chances. After the game some fans were seen writing 'in next season' under 'Believe'.

I came across this old decrepit shed in Scotland and just couldn't resist.
