Unplastered water pipes are common in older homes.
Each household has a water tank in the yard, in this water tank is every 2 days passed fresh water. The water is pumped into a second tank on the roof, and then go with more or less water pressure in the apartments.
66154 powers up as it passes trap points at the old Aberdare station on the approach to the new Aberdare station working the 6C45 with coal destined for Aberthaw from Tower Colliery.
I think that this is part of an old old Threashing machine.

One of my Flickr contacts recently posted a photo from his visit to Gold King Mine and Ghost Town in Jerome, Arizona. The image seemed so familiar to me from my visit there several years ago. I looked back at my images and wanted to share a couple more from this interesting place.
If you ever visit Sedona, Arizona you should take the drive to Jerome for a visit. Gold King Mine and Ghost Town has to be the largest collection of old rusty relics I’ve ever seen. It is a Disneyland of dilapidated treasures and antiques. There are many old vintage trucks and cars parked all over the property. Many of the collectable cars and trucks are housed in sheds. Large garages and out buildings contain autos, auto parts, vintage motorcycles and an assortment of tools and collections.
There are several saw mills that are still used today to create furniture that is sold in Jerome and Sedona’s elite shops. A little shack was created to depict an old dentist office complete with vintage tools of the trade. Another shack for a miner’s cabin complete with outhouse for the essentials of the day. Chickens roam freely around the property. One could spend days here and still not see everything the proprietor has collected over the past 50 years.

There is a tradition at German weddings where to release helium balloons with a postcard attached to it. The guest write some sought of good luck massage on the post card, and hopefully a few weeks after the wedding the bridal pair dozens of post cards .... The last wedding I shot was in a museum they used hundreds of old photos.
Or was it a house? I don't know. It sits just off Maytown Rd. in central Florida.
Wow, this one is driving me crazy. I really love it but have been tweaking the hell out of it. Making little changes, then feeling good about it, then seeing something wrong and doing it all over again.

Another year older and another year supposedly wiser. A lot of people don't like Birthdays and they really dislike the fact they're a year older. Personally I think all Birthday's are a cause to celebrate and I'm just grateful that I've been lucky enough to live another year and enjoy all the things that I'm blessed with...ok, it may sound corny, but it's true. I received a journal for jotting down notes and other nonsense, which is full of words of so called wisdom. I like this quote by Bernie Siegel, an American writer and pediatric surgeon. I think it's so true and I think that without inspiration I'd get nowhere. Everyone feels a little lack luster from time to time and I know that without Mother Nature and the beauty of what I see everyday, it would be hard to stay positive at times. So for me, she really is the greatest gift. ps..and thanks to my lovely M and P for bringing me into this unpredictable and wonderful world :))....Anyway where's the wine?

The 5368 had to stop for traffic ahead at Blairstown so I framed it with the old Blairstown Elevator with Old Glory on top.

Old Man Storr , une photo inhabituelle , régulièrement photographiée sous des lumières différentes et du haut de ses environs 700 mètres en empruntant un chemin de randonnée , il m'apparaissait difficile de représenter ce lieux superbe et grandiose d'un autre point de vue, après plusieurs passages, j'ai pu enfin profiter d'une forte et belle lumière brève , franchir une barrière illégalement pour avoir accès à ce tout premier plan, les barques à gauche, des cygnes blancs à droite, ainsi que ce petit îlot lumineux bien placé au centre .
