This simple dirt-road has been good to me over the last four years since I joined Flickr. I have experienced the joys of nature throughout the inland expanse of the Florida Everglades. I have seen beautiful sunsets and an abundant variety of wildlife from birds to alligators. This dirt road is the eastern border of the Everglades, and as simple as it is, it's been an amazing road. It's shown me the beauty of nature and has given me the ability to reach out and touch it with my lens, to understand its ebbs and flows while enjoying it immensely. The tiny Khalde village, situated beneath the snow covered peaks of Caucasus mountains, as seen during the trek from Adishi to Iprali, in Svaneti Region of Georgia.
Since the 1991 collapse of the Soviet Union, Khalde village has been completely abandoned as the Soviet agricultural and other subsidies it depended upon vanished.

Somchai's Love Garden," officially known as The Kingdom of Somchai's Affection, is a secluded sculpture park on Koh Mak, Thailand, created by local artist Khun Somchai. The garden features numerous concrete statues of nude women in provocative poses, reflecting Somchai's unique artistic vision.

A beautiful Fall day exploring the Burnt River Canyon and watching wildlife between Durkee and Unity in Baker County Oregon .
The Burnt River Canyon near Durkee is always one of our favorite drives for taking in the majestic scenery of Eastern Oregon and watching wildlife along the way. Saw lots of wildlife this trip as colder temperatures have pushed lots of deer down into the canyon. We were excited to spot a few Bighorn Sheep in rut during this trip

Spent a beautiful early summer day exploring small towns and century farms along the Hells Canyon Scenic Byway, one of three Oregon Scenic Byways that connect in Baker County. Baker County is home to more than two dozen Oregon Century Farms and Ranches and the Hells Canyon Scenic Byway and back roads along the way, are a great way to explore this working landscape of the American West.
with spectacular views of the Wallowa Mountains, and rolling hills of the Pine Valley, and surrounded by local farms and ranches including a number of Oregon Century Farms, the byway is a popular destination for group tours and independent travelers alike, and offers visitors a chance to experience small town Americana in small towns like Halfway, Richland and Newbridge, as they explore the rugged and spectacular Northeast Oregon landscape along the way.
Hwy 86 between Baker City and the Hells Canyon Dam at the bottom of the canyon is open year round providing visitors access to the deepest river gorge in North America.
