Aerial view of a sailboat docked at St Paul’s Bay, situated at the foot of the Acropolis of Lindos, on the island of Rhodes, part of the Dodecanese island group, in South Aegean, Greece.

It is believed that the Apostle Paul sailed into this bay in 43AD when he was traveling across the lands bringing the new religion of Christianity with him, and the locals named the Bay after him soon after.

It's well worth to take a turn off the beaten path. As I was bored driving on a highway and turned to a local road, I saw these boys chillin' in the yard of this abandoned house.. I stopped to ask them for directions and got this shot of them as well.

Taken somewhere in rural Virginia

Common myths concerning Charleston include variants on the reasons for the paint colors. According to some tales, the houses were painted in the various colors such that the intoxicated sailors coming in from port could remember which houses they were to bunk in. In other versions, the colors of the buildings date from their use as stores; the colors were used so that owners could tell illiterate slaves which building to go to for shopping. Osor lies at a narrow channel that separates islands Cres and Lošinj. The channel was built in Roman times to make sailing possible. Now the islands are connected with a rotating bridge. Originally Cres and Lošinj were one island, before the channel was cut.

Big Horn Sheep in Burnt River Canyon in Baker County

A beautiful Fall day exploring the Burnt River Canyon and watching wildlife between Durkee and Unity in Baker County Oregon .

The Burnt River Canyon near Durkee is always one of our favorite drives for taking in the majestic scenery of Eastern Oregon and watching wildlife along the way. Saw lots of wildlife this trip as colder temperatures have pushed lots of deer down into the canyon. We were excited to spot a few Bighorn Sheep in rut during this trip

A controversial fresco on the interior wall of the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ, a Serbian Orthodox Church in Podgorica, the capital city of Montenegro. The fresco depicts Marshal Tito, Karl Marx, and Friedrich Engels burning in the eternal flames in hell.

The three men portrayed in the fresco are the personification of a regime that persecuted the believers and the clergy. Even today, the Montenegrin population is divided between those who miss the “good old days” and those who see in communism a plague that ravaged this region for many years.

During our recent scouting trip through rural Niagara-on-the Lake, Ontario, we came across an old truck in the process of being brought inside for restoration work by a hobbyist. The truck is an 1948 Studebaker. Clearly the paint is in need of attention, not to mention the myriad mechanical issues that will have to be addressed. The license plate is like a tip-ff as to its origin. Hobbyists will go pretty far afield to get what they want. Now the long wait to see how it turns out. - JW
