4 tiers 6, 6, 8 and 10 inch dark chocolate and cherry ripe mudcakes covered in dark chocolate ganache and covered in fondant. Green and pearl lustre dust painted, royal icing and sugarpaste decorations and isomalt gems. All edible.
I had problems with my fondant and the edges cracking! Quite a few drama's along the way but still happy with how it turned out. Just hoping it is still okay for the cutting of it tonight!
I can't get enough of these offset distant signals! New Hampshire Northcoast aggregate loads pass the distant for the Pan Am mainline in Rollinsford.
Hong Kong Transport - Buses | All types
The Hong Kong Bus Culture
The number of buses registered + licenced in Hong Kong seems to fluctuate between 18,000 - 22,000 vehicles and presumably new buses registered are offset by old buses being retired or sold over the border in China. (Source - The Transport Department, Hong Kong Government)
Bus services in Hong Kong have to be amongst the best of all major cities in the World.
All major Hong Kong Bus Companies invest heavily and are using mainly brand new double decker buses and all of them are testing and introducing single and double decker 100% electric buses and also hydrogen powered buses for future use.
☛Major Franchised Bus Companies in Hong Kong
Citybus | Cityflyer ✚ Kowloon Motor Bus | KMB ✚ Long Win Motor Bus | LWB ✚ New Lantao Bus | NLB ✚ HZMB ✚ Note : New World First Bus | NWFB merged with Citybus in 2022
☛Non - Franchised Public Bus Services using double decker and single decker buses (feeder services)
Mass Transit Railway | MTR ✚ DBTS - Lantau Island ✚ Park Island Transport Co. Ltd.
☛All Major Franchised Public Minibus Services (PLB) seating 16 or 19 people
Franchised and Non Franchised Public Light Bus Red Top ✚ Franchised Public Light Bus Green Top
☛Privately Owned Buses
Toyota seems to be the preferred brand for privately owned small and medium sized buses and are used for the following purposes
Public and Private Rehab Buses ✚ Commercial Building Buses ✚ Resident Services Buses ✚ Travel and Tour Buses ✚ Contract Hire ✚ School Buses ✚ Hotel Buses ✚ Misc. Buses for any type of charter | hire too numerous to mention including cross border buses.
One of the largest privately owned companies is Kwoon Chung Bus Company who also offer Non Franchised and Franchised Bus Services through it‛s subsidiary New Lantao Bus
☛Many Hong Kong Government Departments have a fleet of buses but for some reason also contract hire from Private Bus Companies on an “as needed” basis.
Any Government OWNED and operated vehicle in this section (such as Correctional Services Buses, Police Buses etc ) have a licence plate starting AM and any Chinese Military Vehicle has a licence plate starting ZG and naturally some of these vehicles have personalized licence plates which they buy at Government Auction!

Hong Kong Transport - Trucks
The Hong Kong Truck Culture
The number of Trucks, Vans* and Special Purpose Vehicles (Light, Medium & Heavy) registered + licenced in Hong Kong seems to fluctuate between 120,000 - 125,000 vehicles and presumably new trucks registered are offset by old trucks being retired or sold over the border in China.
*Vans are classified as Light Goods Vehicles and are not shown in this album
In Hong Kong Trucks are classified as GOODS VEHICLES By the Transport Department - see below
☛Light Goods Vehicles - Goods vehicles of permitted gross vehicle weight not exceeding 5.5 tonnes.
☛Medium Goods Vehicles - Goods vehicles of permitted gross vehicle weight exceeding 5.5 tonnes but not exceeding 24 tonnes.
☛Heavy Goods Vehicles - Goods vehicles of permitted gross vehicle weight exceeding 24 tonnes but not exceeding 38 tonnes.
The major truck types you tend to see in urban areas are trucks carrying construction materials or waste, dump trucks, concrete mixers and all sizes of delivery trucks... outside of the urban areas it is container trucks and large trucks carrying construction materials.
The following brands of Trucks can be seen on the streets of Hong Kong and include:-
Beiben ✚ Bell ✚ CAMC ✚ CNHTC ✚ DAF ✚ Dennis ✚ Dong Feng ✚ FAW ✚ Fuso ✚ Foton ✚ Ford ✚ Hino ✚ Howo ✚ Hyundai ✚ Isuzu ✚ Iveco ✚ JAC ✚ Kato ✚ KIA ✚ Liebherr ✚ MAN ✚ Mercedes Benz ✚ Mitsubishi ✚ Nissan ✚ Renault ✚ Scania ✚ Shacman ✚ Sinotruk ✚ Suzuki ✚ Toyota ✚ UD ✚ Volvo ✚ Zoomlion
Hong Kong is a brand conscious place even for trucks (!) hence the popularity of the European brands, Scania and Man are very popular and even the older trucks look the business and they are utterly reliable.
Isuzu is the market leader in terms of sale volume for all types of trucks.

Port Ustka

Right-lateral offset of Evan Hewes Highway (County Highway S80) along the Imperial fault (location shown with 'IF' notes on sides of road), east of El Centro, Imperial County, California. On the north side of the highway (right side in this view), there is a slight right-lateral offset in the solid white paint line; there is also a slight bend in the dashed white centerline. However, the actual amount of offset here should be measured by the offset of original paving joints. Original paving joints (the highway originally was a concrete slab road) were in the center of the roadway, as on the western (distant) side of the fault; on the eastern side of the fault the paving joint is half way into the left traffic lane. The approximately half lane of concrete paving on the right was added after the 1940 Imperial Valley earthquake offset the road; the 1979 Imperial Valley earthquake also offset the road, as have multiple, minor fault-creep slips. Also notice the warping of the paving joints near the fault, especially on the distant side of the fault in this view.
In early April, 2010, I revisited this site to find a newly paved roadway—this long-time view of offset on the Imperial fault is gone or, at least, covered.
