Day 29 of 366
My wife, son and I went to our local high school basketball game tonight so I knew what I was going to shoot. Of the 80 or 90 photos I shot I liked this one of the opening tip off the best. Oh, and the final score: Hastings 54 Middleville 46. Woo-hoo go Saxons!!!
Created with fd's Flickr Toys.
Off to Mallorca for a week, going in the early morning tomorrow, will look forward to catching up when I get back
In contrast to the previous shot, this has had no PS involvement, think I slightly cropped it

Strobist: Nikon SB-600, under table pointing at the wall, zoomed to 85mm, at 1/128 power, Nikon SB-800 (the subject obviously) aimed at 32" silver reflector, fired at 1/10 power, white fill card camera left, both triggered with CLS. I really would have liked another flash to do this, but I made do with what I had available.
Edit: My "table" is bowing in the center, doh!
This restaurant was one of the creepiest places I have ever been. We rolled into Allendale around 8 PM on our way to our destination near Orangeburg. We were quite hungry; our last stop was in Starke. There were no cars in the parking lot, but this place still had lights on inside. We decided to stop and check it out, as food places are scarce in rural South Carolina.
We go inside and the place feels off. Some grizzled white lady comes out from the back and takes our orders. Then it hit me...this place was exactly like the KFC that once inhabited this building; they even recycled the old letters and signs from its KFC days. However, the food was much better (and cheaper) than a KFC.
We wasted no time screwing around in there, and left as soon as we were finished.
